I agree that Khabib should win this fight. Aggressive takedown artists are the best fighters to bet on. Plus Khabib will be the bigger and stronger man in the cage.
The funny thing about this fight is the books are exposed huge on Connor. Everyone has been betting Connor the past month, and the books have refused to lower the line lower than +140. The books know the sharps will bet Khabib anywhere less than -150.
I agree this is a steal. I would probably bet Khabib up to -200.

I agree he made himself look like an idiot at the presser("cocane is a helluva drug") and to me he looked unsure of himself for once. I do however disagree that this is a cash grab fight for him. It's not like he's Brock Lesnar. conor is an mma fighter first who somehow talked his way into a boxing amtch against the "greatest" boxer of all-time*respect* but mma is not boxing. You can't go in there and dance around take a dive or go 12 rounds and collect. He stole Aldo’s belt & called him a puss- in Portuguese
He came hopping in a mink coat & trashing Alvarez
Conor has always been crazy & a showman to sell the fight, he had no choice in this one, he’s stuck in a press conference with a guy who has broken English & no fans, Khabib isn’t selling the fight so Conor created a scene, he went full psycho & everyone is talking about it, goal accomplished
He’s selling the fight the same way he’s always done
He will make over 30 mill easily after ppv , not to mention his new whiskey brand will have a logo in the octagon for the first time ever for a fighter , Conor is the ufc when it comes to ppv buys
He’s the draw, some love him, some hate him
The guy was broke 5 years ago, now he’s worth 200 million & growing
He’s a smart dude, Khabib is his worst possible matchup but Conor sees himself as superior to the other fighters, I think he gets exhausted & gassed out from Khabib’s non stop pressure but he’s very capable of just hitting Khabib early & making it look easy like he did vs Alvarez
Once the Irish roll into Vegas that line will go way down, if you want to bet Conor bet him now & if you want to bet Khabib then wait it out
I’m excited for the fight, Conor is my favorite fighter but he’s fighting a guy that has never lost a round (that’s unheard of)

I agree that Conor is all about the money, that being said talking is what he has always been about and yes he talked his way into the floyd fight which was ridicoulous that it occured but that is totally different than this. Like another poster stated you are not going into the MMA ring to fool around totally different than boxing you could literally die. I wouldnt look to far into that angle, especially if Floyd has never taken a dive and bet on his opponent like I thought he would last few fights

Agree with every single word of yours. Conor has totally changed his approach on everything. He's more focused on talking bs and making money out of it instead of actually going out there and earning more glory through his fists. I'd say he's really smartened up. In terms of fighting dedication, Khabib is an absolute beast at the moment.

Gentlemen, thank you for all the insights. Let me preface I know nearly nothing about MMA except watching PPVs every now and then. but watching the buildup to this fight, I started to smell an opportunity. my 3 biggest bets of all time (somewhat skewed to the present as I bet bigger now - 1) Mayweather over Connor (win). 2) Pats over Phi (loss) 3) Loma over Rigondeaux (win)... Ckatter - you say one of your biggest bets of all time?! I am diving in and coming to the conclusion that this could well be my 4th biggest ever bet - I mean this Khabib literally fought bears when he was 8 years old in the Balkans... but again, I know nearly nothing except some of the facts mentioned on this thread that you internalize once you start doing your research. In short, you see this as a similar mismatch to the two boxing matches i mention above?

Alright - 6 hours of diligence later and here is where I come out. Not an all-time wager but a significant one. Khabib is a monster, he manhandles opponents with his ground and pound, post take down. and Conor's take down defense, ground defense feel like they are just good. And man, does Conor take punishment in his fights. Khabib is bigger, stouter and he annihilates his competition. On the ground, this fight is OVER. Khabib wins this fight 65-75% of the time. But Conor has more than a puncher's chance. He has a Conor's left chance. Who has Khabib really fought? More importantly, Khabib can look slow. Perhaps he is just playing possum and tiring out his opponents. At which point he then goes in for the take down. Or perhaps not... But Conor has laid out the fastest of opponents. This keeps me from going all in at this point
