Awful fight. Really bothers me when a main event or co-main event goes this way. Yes, Pettis should've had an answer, but fans want to see the best fighters in the world putting their skills on display. That wasn't elite MMA. That was a guys laying on another guy against the fence, made a few lazy takedowns, did no damage and then got popped and bloodied.
I can't stand these "technically wins". Where a fighter does nothing but "technically wins".
And then to say he wants a shot at the champ?!? Even he didn't believe that when he said it.

How the crowd booed him them cheered him when he called out a title shot is hilarious.
What happened to separating the fighters if no damage or movement is going on. I should of looked into Pettis's losses more indepth. Joe commented how that was how he lost to clay and RDA. Got to add that to my critic.
On the feet Pettis out struck Alvarez as expected but the takedowns are somehow worth a lot more?
