I am just wondering if 2yo racing was a big deal in the US?
It just seemed odd to me that the biggest/richest 2yo race in the world in Australia (Golden Slipper) doesnt attract youngsters from any where else

Two year olds start around April and there are very opportunities as you can probably imagine. There are some stakes races for two year olds in May& June, but our campaigns really get ramped up in July and August with the Saratoga & Del Mar meets where many promising youngsters are unveiled.
It's difficult to answer your question with a yes or no, because we have nothing to compare it to. The Breeder's Cup does have two $2 million dollar races for 2yos (one for fillies and one for colts) as well as a 500k sprint for 2yo.
Hope that helps a little.
