Aidan O'briens Lake Victoria and Asmussens Cogburn are likely sure things if your betting style suggests and like to go that route.
Even money would be a gift on these two.
I sure hope so! Weather always needs to be taken into account (thank you for the closer location than I update ). Adian O'Brien is one of my favorite trainers and have many of his horses in my online stable watch/inform me. I recall a races in which his runners finished 1,2 and 3 ... TO THE BANK!! Win paid over $150, exact a over $1,000 and trifecta over $5,000 made my day! ??

Juvenile Turf Sprint
Speed kills in Del Mar autumn turf sprints
when the temporary rails are down, as they
will be for the Juvenile Turf Sprint. The past
three autumn meets combined, 5 of 9 railsdown
turf sprints were won by the pacesetter, two
were won by a horse positioned second or third.
The truth is, speed has dominated the
Juvenile Turf Sprint regardless of track. In the
six-year history of the race, at four different tracks,
Juvenile Turf Sprint winners include four who led gate
to wire, and one who pressed from second. The only off
the-pace Juvenile Turf Sprint winner was Mischief Magic
in 2022 at Keeneland.
Juvenile Turf Sprint runners whose last start was in
Europe were blanked the first three years of the race,
but the one-two finishers the last three years entered
off starts in Europe. This year, that group may include
front-runner/pace-presser Aesterius. He defeated Juvenile
Turf Sprint candidate Big Mojo by a neck in the Flying
Childers. The challenge facing Big Mojo is running style.
He rallies from out of it.
U.S. candidates include early favorite Governor Sam, a
speed horse who matches the speed-friendly course/race
profile. While front-runners hold the edge, late runners
do complete the exacta. It happened in both recent California
editions of the Juvenile Turf Sprint. Go Bears Go rallied
to second at 12-1 in 2021 at Del Mar; Valiant Force rallied
to second at 23-1 last year at Santa Anita. A late-runner to
consider for this year’s exacta is Magnum Force.
How can you NOT wager on Any Adain Obrien trained horses..he's one of the VERY Best European trainers at ANY Breeders Cups..especially his Turf horses..will be awesome to peruse forms tomorrow for Friday races..thx for Both days of racing schedules..love the changes on the schedules..going to make it much more eventful

Thank you for your kind words. My belief is to put out the information so others could possibly be more informed. That race, saved my wallet that day as I had been not able to cash anything that day (until that one). Glad to help out and like the amount of time between most races - allows one to tweak their game plan depending upon how the track is playing, the weather, who's hot/cold, etc. Having the Classic moved, for tv purposes, allows that race to be in TWO pick fives (last race in one, first in other) which can allow additional strategies. Hopefully the pre race selections will make it to the post parade and gate/load without becoming a late scratch.
City of Troy took to the dirt today. He skipped, glided and seemed to flow on/over it. It was, also, known DMRC ADDED dirt/sand in an attempt to deepen the surface, yet City of Troy's work over it was not affected. Presuming he comes out of the workout without issue, for me, will be extremely difficult to leave off my tickets let alone in multies and exotic keys. So far, of all the workouts I've seen for this year's Breeders Cup races, there has not been any better. The flip of this would be, will he have left it on the track/peaked to soon. The post parade will help answer that for me.
Word going around is she's doing well but has swelling. Morning line of less than even money, the other serious contender out, she will remain the race favorite. To get value, if she were to win, one will need to hit exotics and/or multies. In the event she doesn't win, the payoffs should be of quality.

I watched a show on youtube with randy moss and jerry bailey where they said that City of Troy is a turf horse and looks it compared to others in the race but the stat that they shared was that trainer Aidan O'Brien is a Great Turf trainer but when bringing a turf horse to the dirt his record is 2 - 75!!!!!!

I understand the concerns people have about him. I'll be watching that later tonight. In Europe over 99% of the races are turf as such they excel at them. The dirt breeding is present, but not as strong as others in the race, but I have seen his workouts over the track and it seems he's taking to it well. Does that mean he's going to win? I don't know but when the trainer regarded as one of the top three in the world, says this is the best he's ever trained, it gets my attention. I also watched his mile workout on a tapeta surface and he handled it well.
To me, as of right now, I could make a strong case for ten of the horses winning. Funny thing is, they all would be used in various wagers. It should be an entertaining race but, to me, it's just one race of the 2000+ I wager upon yearly. I hope you and others have cash positive weekend wagering the Breeders Cup.

Surprised at the size of City Of Troy. I thought he’d be bigger. Will he take to the dirt on his daddy’s side (justified) or dam side (Together forever ) and prefer the turf?
I don’t know and at that price I will be looking elsewhere. The horse I’m looking at came in third in the Kentucky Derby after having a terrible trip and getting mugged by Sierra Leone. That was his only loss out of seven starts. I love his trainer and already has a couple of BC wins under his belt. ml 6-1 is a decent price, not sure if that’ll hold though. But he’s won all over the world on different types of track at different distances.
Little concern about the one hole but because of his ability to adjust it should be no problem getting out quickly if need be. Gl

City of Troy has worked well over the track and unless it pours making the track sloppy it will be very tough for me to not see him in the top five (Super High 5 Tickets). I read your reasoning for the one and fully understand it and can tell you, he's on my short list along with Derma. The seven and nine, as of right now, look to be the other main contenders, to me. I think they have Forever Young lay back, slide out to the 3 or 4 path heading into the clubhouse turn (so he won't get pinched/pinned and work his way to the rail saving ground advancing forward slightly up the backstretch and upon the far turn, remember Del Mar has a short stretch, is let loose. He's shown he can take the dirt.
As the track plays Friday and Saturday, along with the odds and weather, will determine my final wagers. The under card each day, to me, provides insight into the races later in the card.
One thing is certain, we're in for a very competitive race.

Let me be very clear, these are the horses I like at this time and most likely be the ones I wager on. I do not know what each race will have at this point.
On large days, like this weekend, many non-regular horse wagering people will add their money to the pools. Many will follow/tail the guy/gal on the screen/tv because "if they're on the screen/tv they must be smart/good", as a general rule I've noticed these people 99% of the time give out one of the top three odds choices at the current time. The sheep follow, lowering that horses win price while at that point focusing on place wagers that will pay more than the win (other horse). Some don't get that about me, which is okay, if I can cash three plus place tickets (behind the chalk) and get one to three other winner, I've had a very good day.
Wagering is about making money, not getting the most correct. A perfect example is this past World Series, I had a losing record but made 870. I'll also state, if a particular tv person selects one of my choices, I remove them from my play list.
Know your strengths and wager to them with confidence and use money management (stick to your budget for each race - don't borrow money from race 7 for race 4 because you're down, it happens).
I hope to update Friday's list after track changes but I have horse related things to take care off and don't know how long they will take.

Race 7: 3-1-5-10, 3 (and 1) were contenders
Race 8: 1-12-2-11, 1 was Main Contender, 12 & 2 were contenders
Race 9: 6-7-3-2, 6 was considered, as was 7
Race 10: 13-6-12-11, 13 was a Tier 1 selection, 6 was from Tier 2, 12 was a Tier 1 selection
Tickets cashed, others didn't. Hope you ended day one on the positive side of the ledger. Saturday's selections to be posted later but most likely in the morning.
Here are some observations from Friday (all races 1-10):
No trainer won back to back races
No jockey won back to back races
The public's top choice won five races
Only one race had a gate to wire winner
Three winners used ES/EP
Three winners were steady gainers
Two winners came used middle moves
Japanese runners did not fair well
In other words, horses who were "closers" did not fair well.
Remember, Del Mar has a short stretch and that favors front style runners.
What will Saturday bring?
