Yeah its a pity those dodgy Europeans allow "pacemakers" in races. It really doesnt allow SYT to show his true best. This win in his 2nd WS Cos Plate shows how brilliant and powerful he can be. The CHAMPION mare More Joyous gets absolutely crushed by the powerful SYT when he goes up and just pours the pressure on. I really hope he goes to either the Breeders Cup or Cox Plate. I would hate the "team riding" in Europe to be the reason he gets beat.......again.

Gotta love the Cox Plate........I've seen many a good race but was there ever anything better than Bonecrusher's Cox Plate?

A little before my time unfortunately GDay Mate but replays are still brilliant to watch ;)

Sunline's demolishing in her 2 Cox Plates was one of the best i have seen. Add to that when she got beat by Northerly in her last was one of my least favourite :(

Sunline Vs Fairy King Prawn in the Hong Kong Mile, still remember exactly where i was when i heard the call. Really hope Black Caviar can go over and take a G1 in hong kong also

The Queen of the Turf returns to racing this Saturday in the G2 Schillachi Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield.

You can get odds as big as $1.08 with some bookies!!

Karuta Queen is a speedy filly who gets in with the postage stamp weight of 51kg, but in reality they are all battling for 2nd because so long as she goes as good as she did in her trial last month she will make it 14 straight wins without a loss.

Zenyatta's record in jeopardy??

Just a barrier trial for her basically bolting it in by around 4 lengths without being let go.

Absolute barrier trial. She jogged past them. They'll have to stretch her out to 1400m because a) there's not much money here for sprinters, and b) there is no sprinter here that can get anywhere near her.

There is no sprinter anywhere that can get near her. 

Also she isn't a charity case, if they cant get near her over the sprints she isn't going to step up in distance to make it easier for her rivals

Moody and the owners have both said they'd like to step her out.

Charity case? Mate, they want to maximise her earnings potential.

Stockdale I don't understand why you are quoting me here.  Do you disagree with the statement that she would be 10-1 or more on dirt against the best sprinters in the U.S.?

Frankel has never raced at shorter than 1400 metres (7 furlongs).

Black Caviar has never raced beyond 1200 metres - 10 wins at 1200 metres & 4 wins at 1000 metres.

At least up to 1200 metres my money would be on Black Caviar.

lmao Black Caviar wouldn't be 10/1 or higher if she ran in America on dirt against there sprinters,she would be a very short priced favourite,doesn't matter that she hasn't ran on dirt she would still be fav.

That washed up Aussie horse Scenic Blast ran 2nd in a grade 1 sprint over there this year on his first try on dirt and he was one of the favs for the race,if Scenic Blast starts one of the favs for a grade 1 dirt sprint over there then Black Caviar would be a very short priced fav.


Scenic Blast was washed up and useless by then also

Smiling Tiger is the horse that beat Scenic Blast in that race im talking about above and Smiing Tiger ran a close up 3rd in the Breeders Cup Sprint last year behind Big Drama.



If a washed up old Aussie horse like Scenic Blast has form around some of Americas best then Black Caviar would simply destroy them

Scenic Blast beat home Cost of Freedom in that race also and Cost of Freedom was beaten less then a length in the 2009 Breeders Cup Sprint(he was actually only caught at the wire)



Seriously a old Aussie donkey with form lines around horses who have ran so close up in the Breeders Cup Sprint,Black Caviar would fucking destroy Big Drama and those other American donkeys.

She's never raced on dirt. Virtually all our tracks are grass and all her races have been on grass.

Even if she couldn't go a yard on dirt IMO it doesn't detract from the fact that she is one hell of a racehorse.

She has certainly won the Aussie crowds. People arrive at the track early to get a glimpse of her or a photo taken. People turn out done up in her colours ie salmon with black spots.

Makybe Diva won 3 Melbourne Cups & Kingston Town won 3 Cox Plates but Black Caviar leaves them for dead as far as winning over the crowd. People who have never had an interest in racing or a bet in their lives are following this horse.
