 I have been drinking mostly red wine lately and I detest flavored beers,however,I just tried Abita's new Pecan Beer and now it's the only thing that I want to drink.

I drink mostly beer.  I rarely drink at home, so most everything listed is what I order out at the bars or casinos:
 
Beer:
Amstel Light
Bud Light
Pabst
 
Liquor:
Jameson (neat)
Makers (neat)
 
Mixed:
Vodka Seven
Vodka Soda (extra lime)
 
Shots:
varies (almost anything if I'm in the right mood, except American bourbon/whiskeys like Jack, Beam, Dickel...I can't stand that rot-gut shit)

Beer - I'll drink pretty much anything, but I prefer micro-brews
 
Liquor - Vodka (absolute or goose, but I'm not overly picky) with just about anything or gin (bombay) w/tonic
 
Wine - Mostly a reisling, pinot grigio, or chardonay fan, but will drink a merlot with a good steak
 
Fresca/Water/Propel/Cranberry Seirra Mist for non-alcoholic drinks
 
Tea (I'm type A as it is....no need for caffeine except on rare occassions - ie. draggin my ass out of bed at 4:30 a.m. to go hunting or fishing ).

 Yeah it probably wouldn't work in Wisconsin,but in Louisiana they know how to make anything better with pecans.

umgmu ~ I have tried it and like I stated earlier I really don't like flavored beers.Purple Haze is a lighter wheat beer that is OK once in a while during the summer.I do love beer and I do love raspberries,but not neccesarily together.Their Pecan beer is a heavier ale style that is great for this time of year.

 I'm guessin that you tried Purple Haze at Fat Tuesday's,as they're the only bar that I've found that serves Abita.

Nothing better than a Bacarrdi and Coke, with a lot of ice on a hot summer day. Can drink them all day long.

Used to Drink beer, hard stuff, shots etc. now that I am older and don't want to get fall down drunk or throwing up sick just drink beer...

Seasonal beer made by troeg's brewing company. Delicious, and it has an 11% alcohol content
