I agree totally. That is a huge reason I don't bet for the Nuggets and do bet against them often. Yeah I get burned when they do actually show up, but there are quite a few times they just come out and play shitty defense and act like they don't give a shit. It looks like the Magic may be starting a trend like that.

Back in January 2005 I backed Tottenham to beat Man Utd one-nil at Old Trafford.The odds if I remember correctly were 16/1 on the one nil scoreline.

It became known as 'the goal that never was' and added to the debate of using video replays in soccer.
Some bookies in the UK actually paid out on Tottenham winning and the 1-0 scoreline but most settled the game as a 0-0 draw including the bookie I was using at the time.

The other was one of the largest bets I ever placed on a baseball game. I had the A's and Barry Zito (back when he was dominant) vs the mariners. The A's were up like 7-1 in the 7th and Zito was cruising. Then all of a sudden the M's caught fire and were leading 8-7 and the A's never recovered. I remember this game less as the years go by, but I lost like 7k on the A's that night. But the Wizards game was clearly my worse beat.

Ya there's definately been some bad beats over the years, sure there'll be more to come, hopefully not like that ever again though. I actually stopped betting hockey for a solid 6 months.
