I have a 150K pending wager with a book that looks like may hit.

I will know by around june/july

Is there any recourse to take with a licensed costa rica book if they decide not to pay?

Its just a natural feeling to get anxious when that much money is on the line.

The book im using is a stable book that has built up a strong player base.

Not quite sure how much $ they have on hand.  Max payouts are only around $5000 a month anyhow.

What would be the best thing to do?

yes absolutely. There is a civil court in San Jose Costa Rica that will promptly hear your case. Costa Rica is very serious about sports books that don't pay clients.

Good link for top lawyers in central america.

so you already made the bet.... okay its about cost gambling is legal in costa rica if it is liscenced then courts can proceed but comparing costa rica justice system to american isnt realistic.

but then its a cost equation .... in that central american country it will take years many apeals and depending on actions and stability of the current regime whether a focvarable out come can be heard.

plan to spend another 50 g to enforce a 150,000 settlement and pray the "liscence bookie " doesnt just go belly up.

good luck man ... you will need a ton of it. costa rica main export is coke second human trafficing third bannas. it is a third world country and this isnt a joke. the cartels run costa rica.......

My suggestion to the OP is don't be so secretive about your bet.  Let us know in this forum and others what the bet is and what book it's with.  The only way you can hurt these Costa Rican books is by destroying their reputation.  They live and die by their internet reputation.  Don't wait until after the fact, they could just say ur a liar or shot taker or some shite.

okay i think i  figured what happened
you bet on a costa rica site trump would win the gop nomination.
now that it looks possible you worry about whether you will be paid .
you took the amortirization of 5 g a month if it hits to pay off the bet at the rate you wanted.
then wait if you loose no problem if you win then dont get paid you have few recouses

    however it does good luck.

okay i think i  figured what happened
you bet on a costa rica site trump would win the gop nomination.
now that it looks possible you worry about whether you will be paid .

Call the book and ask to speak to an owner, or someone in upper mgmnt.
Explain to this person that you are in a sudden need of cash, and that you are willing to take a percentage of your pending bet now, as long as they are willing to pay you in one payment.

Is post #11 accurate as to what your bet is?
If so, I'd take $5,000 right now.
The GOP machine has not yet unloaded on ol' Donny boy.

If yours is a different wager that seems winning is imminent, then perhaps you could negotiate a $25,000 payout?

I have no idea, just throwing out suggestions

I had over 150k in heritage and 5dimes a year ago after a nba jam hot streak Sparked by a couple nice parlay hits. Ray Allen 3 pointer in heat final made me a ton. Both books paid out weekly no issue. Collect western u, money gram and check . Transfer money to other affiliated books and cash out with them also. Have money sent to your friends also to avoid red flags. You haven't even hit yet. Mb plan on hedging / middling and guarantee yourself a payday . Good luck

I had over 150k in heritage and 5dimes a year ago. Make sure you take screen shots, name the book in forums and the bet etc if nervous. Both these books are very legit and payout. I'd be nervous if my winnings were in sports book dot com or bodog. Take out the max per week in west u, money gram, checks under 10k. Transfer money to affiliated books and you can cash out more at once. Get money sent to willing friends you'll treat to drinks or dinners if possible to not raise red flags. You haven't hit yet? Hedge/ middle if you have a brain

I would be extremely worried. To These banana republics, that's just way too much cash to payout. And if I read correctly the max is $5k?
I don't know if you're using GT, 5dimes or whatever else is out these these days but there have been some very intriguing posts.
For example the red flags. If that much money is going to be embezzled into the states, neither the Casino or the transfer companies want to be exposed. For Christ sake, you're going to be receiving 5k a month for the 2+ years. There will be a hit out on you my friend lol.

In all seriousness, I'd meet with the person in charge, fly out there assuming you can arrange a sit down, and offer to settle for less if they are able to procure the money in cleared funds right away. Spread it around if possible.
Good luck to you and pleas revive this thread when appropriate

ive thought about posting my bet and the website on multiple outlets and forums however there are 2 ways that can go

#1.  My bet and sportsbook are posted all over the internet, the site knows that and feels more of an obligation to pay me since they dont want to be exposed and want to keep their reputation

#2.  The book sees ive been posting everywhere, gets pissed off and uses that against me to not pay me...

I just dont want to do anything that can potentially piss these guys off
