Keep thinking it wasn't Ray Rice's fault and he was defending himself.  Anybody that actually thinks that way is completely ignorant, has abused a woman before and gotten in trouble, or needs to seek help immediately.  Shame on all of you that think that way.

Look I don't condone what he did but for someone to think that ESPN blurb I just read is a smoking gun is stupid. People like attention and a lot will always give an "account". I do this as part of my job and you'd be amazed what some "witnesses" will say they heard and saw to hopefully get involved. This staffer may be telling 100% the truth but I'd take it with a gran of salt. 
The video is the point. He over reacted. She looked pissed at him but you don't hit a girl.

Oh?  Why is that?  Is there a special law against it just because she is a woman?  What if he were happy and it was 130 lb weak dude?  Why do we feel differently about it only because she is a female?  Not okay with it at all, just asking. If a woman is belligerent and hitting you; you can never hit her back. If a guy just looks at you funny; not as bad to hit him.

That's actually an excellent question. I guess it's just a societal opinion. 
To answer your question about the weakling. I think size has a big factor in it. 200 pound guy vs. 120 pound girl is not okay But I think if that cyborg chick from the MMA was coming at you I don't think you'd get too much grief from anyone if you fought back.

Even if you lack morals and the basic rules of life, at least give it a consideration that you may be video recorded at all times, so act appropriately before doing something stupid. 

There really is never a scenario where you should hit a woman. As a man you should be able to absorb the assault while you dial 911 and the fuzz take her away in cuffs. That is your only option. As much as I've want to administer a stone cold stunner on a chick who was acting ruthless and spitting venom, I walked away.

I agree with you for the most part, but if some giant Precious looking broad is swinging at me for something stupid, in the heat of the moment I'll probably take a swing back.  Depends on how threatened I would feel.   VERY few people on this planet can just sit there and take that

Why?  Just because she is a woman? Why hit any guy either?  As I have said before I grew up with guys and played ball with guys  that said if a woman hits them; they are gonna hit them back. They say that that anyone, woman or not, that hits you first should expect to get hit in return. Not to be stereotypical but all people are not chivalrous. I neer think you should hit a lady.  But this gal was acting like a woman and not a lady. This is totally different than domestic abuse or spousal abuse to a lot of people. Not my opinion; but plenty of others.
