You would be well served to not shoot anyone in your driveway in that scenario. The best option is one where you do not go trial.

    Justified.

I don't know the law requires it to be unloaded, but typically that would mean the magazine is ejected. It is good practice to avoid trouble in the event you're pulled over or in an accident.

Gotcha thanks for the clarification, and appreciate you saying 2 hoods as opposed to two blacks.

Some states do require any weapons transported be unloaded, just not sure about FL.

You can take your gun to your place of business in FL legally. So say you're Joe the Rug guy and you're in your rug shop, you can have a loaded weapon handy. And if someone smashed through the window with a crowbar, you could shoot them dead.

I've seen plenty of white & brown hoods in my day TyDarius.

Zimmerman didn't even need or use SYG.  We already have self defense, SYG laws are misguided crap.

That said, why would anyone be surprised that Holder or any law enforcement would be against it?  It makes prosecuting harder.

There is no rational reason to oppose Stand Your Ground laws.

Like this is the dumbest post of the year..

Vast people even Z's attorney O'Mara thinks we should re-evaluate syg even though classis self-defense was applied in the case obviously..

However all of the evidence supports that syg validates more gang violence and blacks are disproportionately targeted by this law. Can't argue with the facts.

I have a feeling the Civil lawsuit that will surely be brought on will have a different outcome them the criminal case.

You might have missed the trial?

    I bet!

Except you have no "evidence" at all.

And the fact that you responded with silly hysteria shows your doing nothing more than projecting.

    Anyway, I enjoyed this article

“Stand Your Ground” Laws Don’t Increase Murder, Manslaughter Rate.

    https://www.mcclatchydc.com/2013/07/17/196940/no-firm-ground-on-whether-stand.html#.UefZMGRAS7g

Oh, and this is a nice one too:

"Florida firearm violence hits record low; concealed gun permits up"

    https://www.abc15.com//dpp/news/national/florida-firearm-violence-hits-record-low-concealed-gun-permits-up

Nothing you've ever posted on this topic is informed or sensical. Mainly because you don't own or carry firearms.

    Really? Where is your "evidence"?

Oh wait, the available evidence contradicts your claim:

One hundred thirty three people in the state of Florida have used a “Stand Your Ground” defense. Of these claims, 73 were considered “justified” (55 percent), while 39 resulted in criminal convictions and 21 cases are still pending.

Forty four African Americans in the state of Florida have claimed a “Stand Your Ground” defense. Of these claims, 24 were considered “justified” (55 percent), while 11 resulted in convictions and nine cases are still pending.

Of the 76 white people who have used the defense, 40 were considered “justified” (less than 53 percent), while 25 were convicted and 11 cases are still pending.

You seem to think your ignorance has some standing or relationship with facts. It does not.
