&#xD;&#xA;Pretty much anything would be better than the DARE program.&#xD;&#xA;I was reading an article a few years ago that talked about that program being a huge waste of money and how it actually ends up doing more harm than good.&#xD;&#xA;They flat out lie to kids about drugs (weed is as bad as heroin, if you smoke weed once you will become addicted, etc.) so when the kids realize they were lied to they are more likely to assume everything they learned there was bullshit even if some of it was true.

He&#x27;s been a drunk for a long time. Had a friend that worked at Enterprise rent a car. He came in to rent car and he had to get his wife to do it. He is on the do not rent list.

His alcohol problems started in the early 90&#x27;s shortly after the debut of monday night raw on usa.  Around 93 when his fame hit as razor ramon.  Since then it has been a downward path for him.  Hes been an alcholic since around then so its been close to 30 years (28 if you want to be exact) hes been hitting the bottle hard. He went to wcw to join in as the outsiders with kevin nash in hulk hogans click the new world order.  He got worse and worse missing shows and showing up intoxicated.  He never handled the fame well. To bad but a lot of wrestlers do this.  They loose their fame or get big head and think they are invincible and unfortunatley this is how they end up.  Jake the snake roberts is another one.  They go from headlining wreslemania with 70 to 80 thousand people to wrestling in the independents in front of 2 or 3 hundred people.  Driving from fairground to fairground or small arena for a couple hundred bucks and usually drugs and alcohol.

Like the guy said its pretty sad but its nothing uncommon in the world of pro wrestling.

I remember a documentary done on Jake the Snake. Now that I think of it it had a lot of similarities to The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke.

its called beyond the mat its the best pro wrestling documentary ever made.  It also has mick foley and terry funk in it with two or three indepent wrestlers.  In one of the scenes Jake is backstage peeing in a bucket before he goes out to wrestle.

have a sad story about the raging bull manny fearnandez..about 8 years ago i was at a local car dealership collecting money for the upcoming softball season.  the guys that own the car dealership were also into the armory/high school professional wrestling scene, you know, small-time stuff.  i look over and there is manny fernandez who was there to wrestle at the armory that night.  i went over to him and shook his hand...he asked me if i wanted a autographed picture and i said yeah, sure. (was just wanting to make the guy feel good)  we walked outside and he opened up this 20 year old van and dug thru what appeared to be his entire life ownings at the time (clothes, food, paperwork..etc.) and he finally found a black and white glossy photo and signed it.  i shook his hand again and said thank you.  i went back inside and asked the owner what happened to the guy, he said drugs and alcohol destroyed everything he had in his life (money, wife, kids)...he was indeed living out of his van going from town to town wrestling for 100 bucks or so a night when he could get work.  he told me he had been friends with manny since the early 70&#x27;s and at one point, manny was making around 250,000 a year wrestling for jim crockett promotions...but the drugs and booze took everything from him.  sorry if this story was long, but it was a very sad, and true story.

I used to drink like a fish in the early 90's. Never was an alcoholic but was drunk at least 5 times a week. Always showed up to work the next day. Never interfered in my life. Now I hate the taste of alcohol. Just dont have a taste for it anymore. Has a beer on New Years but havent since.

anyone can say what they want about scott hall..but he was right in the middle of probably the pinnacle of professional wrestling (NWO invades nitro),,,&#xD;&#xA;very sad story.

I remember Manny from the 80&#x27;s. The Von Erich era. That was some good old school wrasslin&#x27;. Sad how so many of these guys end up. Benoit, Hall, Flair, Jake the Snake the list goes on.I agree I loved the NWO era of WCW. Wrestling is not what it used to be that is for sure.
