I Think the reason why he does stuff like this is because in the rap/hip-hop world there is the idea of "flossing" (showing off)...
To evoke envy which results in a response calling "hating" or being a "hater"... the subconcious emotional reaction to feeling threatened which then results in put downs, attacking and bad-mouthing...
Part of this is the race thing... thinking that a black man in New Orleans has the most expensive and fastest street car in the world...
If it were some foreign billionaire or american corporate ceo then we can rest easy, but birdman does stuff like this because he knows it tweeks people slightly and unconsciously...
Just like how people get tweeked when they see a hot white woman with a black man...
Just like people get tweeked when they see an escalade in the ghetto,
Just like people get tweeked when an NBA player does what is best for himself, because he can.
Just like people get tweeked with a half black president...
And the response is always the same "Hating"
