It ends up like a smaller version of the cinnamon trick (video is fuckin hilarious!).
Today is day 1 of really trying to quit cigarettes, and I'm already failing miserably. I used to chew, so I thought the idea of snus was ridiculous but I saw marlboro came out with them and for $1.50 figured I'd try it and they weren't bad at all, great for in class, but not much of a buzz. I saw online that in europe you can buy real snus either in pouches or loose, so I thought I would try packing a dip out of 3 snus'. So as I rip open the pouch, I notice its actually like a little plastic pouch that is just wrapped in the cotton-y outer wrapper that has the flavor on it. I decide to try putting 3 of those in to see if it is more effective first... I'm probably sitting there for 5 seconds and don't even realize at first that the shit is like sand, but must have the finish of marbles because the shit went everywhere.
So for everyone who was about to go buy snus and cut it open and pack a dip of it, don't do that.

No, sounds great, but I don't have any money for one right now unfortunately. Very busy with school, no time for work, and this summer I'll be slaving myself away on an internship... 400+ hours, $0/hr.

You know what I found that helps.... roll joints or blunts starting with like a 80/20 tobacco weed mix. You need to find the loose rolling tobacco, flavored induces harshness so try to avoid it. Everyday lessen the amount of tobacco content by 2-5% whatever you're comfortable with.
A big advantage of this is when you use that much tobacco you rarely smell the weed - so you are usually safe to burn in public.
Eventually you will find you are smoking less and less tobacco.
However when you get to about a 20/80 ratio the other way you will often find this is the period of momentary relapses to happen. This is okay as long as you don't get out of control. Get whatever you have to out of your system and continue on the 20/80 gradually cutting down.
I say relapses happen because they almost always do. Don't pick a date to quit, pick a REALISTIC time-frame and stick to it.

If you try to cease suddenly your mind and body will suffer... its just like a getting off a serious psychotic med or something. Your body doesn't know how to cope.
You need to slowly and gradually introduce change.
That's why I say setting a date doesn't work. Make a Realistic timeframe of when you can set certain goals for yourself.
How many smokers you know actually stuck with quitting on New Year's this year?

I liked the Marlboro spearmint, then tried camel frost to see how it was and I hated it compared to Marlboro, the shape of the pouches makes the Marlboro ones more effective IMO.
I cut back a while ago really don't smoke a lot, maybe 5 cigarettes a day, and I'm 'that guy' who always says he's quitting, then I smoke 5 minutes later.... but I really want to quit so I set my date and I'm done...
.....but I want one
I think I'll be fine

I cut open another SNUS to examine that inner package that I said I found earlier, that I tried to put in my upper lip that didn't work... and this time there was no inner package same product... anyway, I have to change my verdict, chewing snus without the pouch works fine.

I bought the only one they had at a Walmart gas station yesterday - just an impulse buy. It sucks sooo bad... Actually tastes like inhaling methamphetamine. I was coughing and my throat hurt. OK, I know there have to be better ones out there, but I don't recommend this brand.
Do you have a favorite?
