I dunno about you but I'd much rather resort to my old days of doing this myself. But modern day disposal and cars make it pretty much a pain in the rear end.
So, after reading an article years back about these express lube shops dumping cheap oil and filters under the hood I from this point forward purchase my own Mobil One, filter, and anything I no needs to be changed out. I pay them their 30 bucks anyway but it's worth it imo.
I stand in the lobby the whole time eyeballing to make sure these guys are using all of my oil and filters.
How can ya trust these places? For all I know they're putting cow piss in the radiator and Olive oil in the engine.
My alone here?

Since then I have never trusted any oil shops. No wonder those guys were all looking at me as if I were a cop. I asked the manager to show me the condition of all my fluids and filters. Guy knew that I would go over my car when I was in my driveway.
