ple still change their own oil? do they dumb it in the back of their yard when they are done like in the old days?
I took it a step further and just dumped down the nearest rain drain back then.

Exactly what I run in my Jeep money, Mobil One 10/30 along WITH a Mobil One filter. I buy it all myself and pony up the 30 bucks in labor. I bring them a Fram air filter also and try and watch everything as far as the eye can see without being an asshole.
You guys have some pretty cool mirror camera views..that's cool. I noticed two other guys in the lobby today at Jiffy Lube eyeballing the work as was I across the garage.
The only work I really trust is my own.

I agree with you 100%. I wish I was patient enough to do it myself without making a big mess... otherwise I would. ![]()

Mugg, this is the exact story that I remembered breaking here in L.A. 5-9 Jiffy Lubes pulling this crap.
Since then I have never trusted any oil shops. No wonder those guys were all looking at me as if I were a cop. I asked the manager to show me the condition of all my fluids and filters. Guy knew that I would go over my car when I was in my driveway.
Momoney, that's a hell of a tip. I'm getting a floor jack and doing the work myself from now on. ![]()

It's really sad to see people getting burned like that. You spend your hard earned dollars to get stiffed out of something you thought you were getting? It's unreal.
When I was watching that flush that was suppose to be done... it reminded me of a Coolant Flush I wanted done on my wife's car... and it's a GM Vehicle which you're suppose to use that Dex-Cool crap... basically the orange stuff. Well this one place wanted to flush the orange stuff... and use a Universal Green coolant all for $48.50. The price sounded great... but my concern was what if they don't flush all the Orange coolant out? The dealership wanted to do it for $130.00. I took it to a friend of mind and he used the stuff I picked out and charged me $50.00 for his time... the car is running smooth... and the coolant was BRIGHT orange so I knew he changed it. Sometimes I wonder why we have to put up with this crap? We need a car to driver to work and back each day and people are always scamming each other?
We shouldn't have to calculate human error on someone's intentional error.
