I manage my father in laws farm. He thinks I'm "overly" optimistic. I tell him "No, I'm a realist but just being overly optimistic to neutralize your persistent pessimism."

Hugh is just trying to do the same thing. You take on the perception of being a "racist" in order to even the playing field.

Yeah, that kind of beating on a disabled man wouldn't even happen in state prison. My friend says more than likely they already know who these guys are and rounding them up. Just routine for releasing a solid press. That's how lapd does it anyway.
