American Cars

Don't be a fool.  Go Euro if you can afford it.  Get a 335 xi or an A4 or C320 or something.   Japanese if you can't.   Don't EVER buy an American car unless you like crappy products.  Truth.

All I have to say about American cars is that my previous three rentals have been a Hyundai Sonata, V6 Mustang and V6 Charger.

The Hyundai Sonata was WAY better than those crap American cars.  Granted they were V6's which is box shit, but still those cars suck.

American cars are for SUCKERS, NO informed car buyer would EVER buy one for his actual ride.

And if you want specifics.........BOTH the Charger and Mustang:

1. Were slow as shit.  Compared to my M3, fucking joke and a half.  NO pickup, NO top end.

2. Handled like MOTHERFUCKING BOATS.  HORRIBLE suspension, no cornering ability...

3. Horrible brakes.  Weak stopping power.  Not that it mattered b/c they were slow as shit, but still....

4. Ugly.  I mean you've seen the new Mustang.  Blechhhh.  1967 called and they want their design back!

So what is the case for American cars please?  Or at least tell me why anyone should go American over Japanese or Euro?

Once again, your ignorance is staggering.

A base Mustang GT is better in every major category dumbass. Faster, handles better, stops better. You can also add 30-40 rwhp for about $700 and an hour in your driveway. It's also 27k cheaper.

"Despite all the box checking, the only thing we can't equalize is the price. In fact, the chasm between the $67,025 M3 and $40,275 Mustang GT can easily be filled with, well, another Mustang."

Eddie you are correct. American cars have NEVER been able to handle a turn. The suspensions are shit. Only good in a drag race. Also Americans have no idea what luxury means. Horrible interiors. Plastic dashboards with exposed screw heads on 50K cars. (see cadillac)  Pathetic lazy engineering to save a few bucks

I don't know what Chevy was thinking about with the new Camaro design....it doesn't even look like late 60's to early 70's models.  The Challenger hits a home run IMO.

I am a huge muscle car fan (I have a '68 Barracuda with a 340 and a 4 speed)....I would never even consider a Camaro.  At least the new Mustang and Challenger designs make you think back to the good ol' days.

Re. the new Corvette:

GM has not disclosed specific performance numbers, but the company admits a top speed of 200 mph is very likely. In terms of acceleration, the ZR1 most definitely beats its Z06 counterpart, thanks to a 115-horsepower output advantage. Since the Z06 rockets to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, the ZR1 is improved to a quicker 3.4 second zero-to-60 time.

"It all boils down to the power-to-weight ratio and the ZR1's is exceptional," said Chevy's Ed Peper. "Better than the Porsche 911 GT2, the Ferrari 599 and even the Lamborghini LP640. In fact, the ZR1 is expected to be the first production Corvette to achieve a top speed of at least 200 mph."
