And it's always a racial issue with you Scal. Always.
I concede we still have racial issues (of all types) in the US and around the world however every God damn issue is not about race and it isn't always the African Americans and Hispanics being abused. Every race gets discriminated against even the white devils who you always decry.
You pick some of the most random topics and play the race card when there usually isn't one. You sir are just as bad as the racists you denounce. How about having a open mind and discussing a topic logically before you immediately go on the offensive interjecting your race baiting BS 24/7.
Jeezus F'n Christ man let this garbage go there is nothing you can do to stop racism in the world it will always be there to some extent.
Who ever called anyone a 'white devil'? And it appears to be a racial issue with me 'every time' because I call out racism on this site. And there is a shi*load of it.
So every time you see me, know it's the members of this site prompting a response. So for who, is it really about race everytime?
And your 'concession' about race is meaningless. To say it exists is like the sun rising and acknowledging it like it's some magnanimous proclamation.
And when was the last time you suffered 'racism'? I'd LOVE to know. (This should be good).

"Clackamas firefighters said they were called to the scene at 11:45
p.m. Friday for an obvious death incident, meaning there was no
possibility of saving the victim."
Why are firefighters called to the scene of everything? There was no fire and no possibility of them doing anything helpful.
Answer: firefighters don't have jack garbage to do because there are hardly any fires. We really need to reconsider how many of these guys are paid on the public dime.
According to the US Dept. of Labor, firefighters have a lower occupational death rate than the average American worker. Over the last 10 years there have been 2.5 deaths per 100,000 fire fighters. The average among all occupations is 3.5 per 100,000.
The next time someone tells you firefighting is a "dangerous" profession, ask them to prove it. After listening to a minute of bullcrap, tell them US Dept. of Labor stats prove they have a safer job than most. And an easier, less stressful one, too.

i used to live a few or more stone throws from a station, and my neighbor had medical issues and they were called numerous times. Why they dispatched the fire truck along with the ambulance i'll never understand.I'm not exgarerating(sp) here when i say that if the emts would not have to grab any gear, they could have ran to the house before the firetruck got there.

I've always thought they had a good thing going and in the old days they could get overtime at the drop of a hat.But i do think the ones in the cities have it a lot tougher than elsewhere.

This data is out-dated, but please who here thinks that there is a HUGE difference between death rates (due to work related accidents) by race? Not me.
Go find something else to do, Scal. Facts just don't back you up.
The rates for ALL races are higher in the south....Da! That's because of the types of jobs.
No significant difference for race.
Dope.

Why are white people(men) so terribly committed to complaining about annectdotal examples of racism? You just look like the worst kid on the team w the dad who buys the uniforms. You made the team, you get the perks.
Why do you have to insist we all ignore what we see on the field?

We're not just talking about death.
We are talking about physical trauma, ailments, and threats to general safety.
You wouldn't last a day in a meat packing plant.
Not a single day.
And these MP plants are dominated by low wage and undocumented labor.

Firefighters are now used mainly as first responders (EMTs or paramedic, what ever you want to call them). There are only so many ambulances, and with more and more elderly, obese and just plain sick people these days, firefighters are needed in this area too. Their job has morphed to include both, which is actually a huge public service.
Just fyi, your "answer" was incorrect.
