Just paid off $36 grand in credit card debt

You should have just filed Bankruptcy. It's a myth what everyone says and thinks about it. I did it and still got a house,car and even more credit cards all within 6 months.

bullshit...your credit will be ruined for ten fn years...I dont know about where you live unless you still buy land by trading it for fn chickens...and a car can be bought outright...lots of ued ones out there...house...maybe a fn cottage in the middle of nowhere...cmon man!

Now that you're out of the hole, keep your head. Unfortunately credit cards are a necessary evil in todays society. Ask your bank to limit your credit card to a reasonable amount i.e $2000-5000. That way you have an emergency stash if needed and without the worry of getting in over your head.

Congrats on digging out of that hole.

Have you EVER filed Bankruptcy? I got a Bankruptcy Lawyer, and my credit WAS NOT RUINED for 10 years. If you have never been their , then how do you know that Bankruptcy ruins your credit. I have, and NO ruin credit.Again, a myth.

hey dcmc34f, just out of curiosity, why did you file? only reason i ask, i had an associate/friend who did it and he lost pretty much everything he had to pay off his debts and wound up not being able to buy certain things unless he got approval from the court.

My wife left me for another man. She left me with everything, house bill, her car note and with all of our credit cards, had no choice but to file. It went REAL EASY.You can turn-in whatever you want too. I didn't turn in my house or 1 MasterCard. Within 6 months I was receiving Credit Card offers in the mail. Bought a new car and simply moved on.

If anyone here runs out and files bankruptcy because of something they read in this thread they deserve to be fucked over. The problem with alott of people these days is that theyre too effing lazy to go out and do there own research.


And I say if you ever have the opprotunity to fuck over these crooks in business suits called bankers then GO FOR IT!! Because theyll do it to you in a heart beat. Theyre doing it to the entire country as we sit here and argue over stupid shit in this very thread.

Sorry to hear about wife.  But you are dead on.  Three of my friends BK'd and now have stellar cards with MORE limit on them.  The reason why you get credit after BK is because they know you can't BK for another 7 yrs.  All that crap about not getting house, job, etc. is a myth.  Especially in today's economy.  Don't pay of Cards, hoard the cash, gold, and guns.  Something bad willhappen to this economy next year, unemployment is skyrocketing.

How did you rack up a debt of that size btw?

Sorry i don't know if you told earlier. I know people do get to such high debts but i don't know how they do it.

Most debt I ever had was my car and house mortgage. Car has been paid but home has 17 years left.
