Goose, are they any more whacko than people who would set the world aflame because of some lunatic belief that an old volcano god "gave that land to them?"
Loonies are loonies, rational people stay out of lunatic disputes

Sorry, but Ayatolla Khomeini took over after Shah and the current supreme leader of Iran is Ayatolla Khamene'i. None the less, it's only been 30 years since that regime has been in power and therefore renders the given premise meaningless.

I also seem to recall they took some hostages under the Carter administration. The U.S. Embassy as all embassies are considered soverign ground.
Both of these, incredibly, were also under the Ayatollahs....

Sorry, but you are incorrect. Iraq under Saddam Hussein waged a war of aggression upon Iran, with the aid and encouragement of Uncle Sam. If Iran made incursions into Iraq during that long, bloody war it was defensive and totally justifiable
The Shah of Iran, a psychopath named Reza Pahlevi, was elevated to the Peacock Throne after the CIA helped overthow the legally elected president of that country, a guy named Mossedegh, if memory serves. That president was making some noises about nationalising the oil industry.
Our CIA then helped Pahlevi, a paladin of Standard Oil, build some of the most sadistic prisons in the world,in which many Iranians were incarcereted and tortured mideval style for opposing the Shah. LIke for suggesting that the Iranian people and not Rockefeller Interantional should own and profit from the mineral wealth in their soil.
After the Khomeini Revolution the Shah fled - guess where?
Right! Into the loving arms of his Uncle and sponsor. And had all his travel and medical expenses paid in the US (where he was treated by elite physicians and hospitals, unsuccessfully it turned out) for cancer. All paid for by his dear friends and sponsors, Standard Oil and Rockefeller Incorporated
The mass media is slowly dying, but their propaganda still holds enormous sway.
But I knew that, LOL

Yeah, even often gigged out in white like ol' Mohandas.
Joy and peace to the world

Oh, you mean return to the Clinton plan of allowing Al-Qaeda to take a foot hold in countries like Afganistan and Pakistan to finance, plan, and carry out attacks on the U.S.
The embassy attacks in Africa, the bombing of USS Cole, and of course 9/11. These things won't happen again under Obama because the world loves and respects him, like South Korea, Iran, Venezuela, et al...What is it he said,......"I mean think about it. Iran, Cuba, Venezuela – these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don't pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us.".....Everyone knows you equate the danger of a country to you by it's SIZE.....

Exactly. Just like Iraq later did against Kuwait, which start the First Gulf War.
Kindergarten recess, everybody sleep on your rugs
