Sad news my friends... Because of US Russian relations McDonald's is facing difficulties...

Sounds like a hold and buy opportunity.

Those drunk people in Russia won't stand for it.  They need their mcdonalds

The instinct to sell is an overreaction . 

First, you must determine what % of sales and income does Russia contribute to the company's overall numbers.

For instance, if Russia only contributes 3% and Russia decides to close all stores, you lose 1.5% of global sales.

The devil is in the details.  You must do your homework before making a decision.  

 

 

Folks too often overreact to news,  and creates great buying opportunities for those that are disciplined investors.

typo.. lose 3% of global sales if they closed all stores...  I was initially going to use the argument of closing "half" its stores.. then  1.5% would have applied.

Sell it because it's trading at 17 p/e and a correction is due in the stock market, not because of some commi person

Well they closed up shop in PV years ago. I was surprised.

They make the big bucks in lower income areas. Surprised they lasted long up in PV.
