I have a question about Lance Armstrong....

Does anybody really care he used ped&#x27;s? Do you feel cheated? I get why the media is all over him like stink on poop. Because he portrayed himself as the only saint in a world of sinners i get it. But its not he like oh he ruined it for his cancer charity. If you weren&#x27;t gonna give before you won&#x27;t now. But the guy raised millions for cancer&#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;m not a Lance armstrong fan i could care less about cycling i&#x27;ve just never understood the anger towards him doing it thats all&#xD;&#xA;What say you guys

He financially ruined plenty of people who called him out over the years for what he's currently confessing. The guys a pathological liar & has used his cancer foundation as a basis for covering up his cheating ways. He's had an arrogant attitude towards everyone as being the best & all the while actually being a fraud. In Lance's case-it's bad karma & this guy deserves it. This guy's a complete piece of garbage & deserves no sympathy from anyone. Let him cry on Oprah all he wants-his lifetime ban should not be overturned.

I agree with the two above posts...my disrespect for Lance Armstrong is massive. He didn't raise shiit for cancer...only for cancer awareness, nothing went to research.

He lied day in and day out about using PED's and was so adamant about it.

He defrauded every cyclist in the past 15 years, and if I was in the sport I would sue the living hell out of him...if it wasn't for the fact that most of the sport was using.

Biggest fraud in sports in my opinion.

Can&#x27;t say I care about cycling but I read an article once that said in the 7 years he won the big race of the 2nd and 3rd places finishers 13 of 14 have been caught or associated with doping so I don&#x27;t see the big deal, in a world of cheaters he cheated better. I never met the guy so not sure if he&#x27;s a jerk but his denials when the evidence was over the top was annoying. I get the "deny, deny, deny" principle most politicians use but if you&#x27;re caught red-handed don&#x27;t continue it. My bud and I were also talking about this last night. Why do you think he&#x27;s coming clean now after denying for so long? He&#x27;s opening himself up to a world of lawsuits which will cause financial ruin and the likelihood he gets what he wants (ban lifted I guess) is very slim in my opinion. The only think I could figure is maybe conscience cause going on the record as a cheater is not wise in his situation.

In any endeavor in life, it is highly likely that anyone who is consistently outperforming everyone else that is working just as hard as they are, is probably up to no good and at least is bending the rules, if not breaking them.

I don&#x27;t quite understand the media hype surrounding this simply because it&#x27;s a sport no one could give a crap about however my question is how is he any different then a Bernie Madoff for example??? Will there be any criminal charges against him now that he is admitting to taking PED&#x27;s because that is the equivalent of match fixing in my book, Think about all those races he won, The rest of the entire field was losing out not just the guy who finished 2nd and 3rd.

Did he ever take a poly all these years?  If not, why? Sure seems to me that another rider who saw him dope would have said to give a poly to the guy to prove their point he doped. If he refused you say "I&#x27;ll donate to your charity if you pass the test".  Would have worked as long as guy wasn&#x27;t a "its not a lie if you believe it" ala George Costanza type.

i totally agree with lance armstrong being a scumbag bully like everyone is basically saying in here but how about all the people who won&#x27;t say a single bad thing about him?  Despite all the evidence against lance armstrong just imagine all the people in hiding who will back lance armstrong 100% till the day that they die.  Didn&#x27;t jeffrey dahmer&#x27;s parents/family have sympathy for him even after he was executed as if to say "he&#x27;ll always be my son."  How sick can some of these people be?  I know lance armstrong is no jeffrey dahmer but there are so many different lines to draw because everyone&#x27;s cases is different but this is the world we live in people.  If i were working for livestrong, i would be thoroughly embarrassed and would need to seek out a new job even if it meant less pay.

and let&#x27;s say 100% of us would take PEDS in our sport if we could and that all of us would lie about it 100%, nevermind the 70% and 50% that you quoted.Would you threaten anyone else like lance armstrong has and bullied everyone because of all the money he has?  There&#x27;s a famous quote by abraham lincoln regarding a person&#x27;s character being tested if being put in power and money is power.  How hard did the evidence have to pile up before lance armstrong finally confessed after all these years?  The sport of cycling has been compromised because of his actions.  So there is definitely a big difference with barry bonds taking peds and lying about it, yet was he a bully about it?  Take a look at lance armstrong&#x27;s interviews in the past when he was in denial.  Did barry bonds tell any other baseball players that he would fukk up their lives if they told on him?  Poor lance armstrong has been caught red handed, even worse than oj simpson because i don&#x27;t think he&#x27;s really sorry.  To me this is a publicity stunt in order to alleviate future concerns that will come about.

First and foremost, I think very little of the general population (including myself) gives a flying fucc that he was cheating while cycling. The entire sport of cycling is so corrupt, they should of just let EVERYONE dope and have the best man win. So basically because he cheated, I could care less.

No doubt he crapped on alot of people, especially those that outwardly accused him of doping. For that he shouldn't be forgiven. I sense he will never be able to repair the lives of many of those he threatened or hurt.

However its impossible to not recognize just how much money this guy has raised for cancer. How can you possibly overlook his efforts in such a horrible disease. There has to be something said for that.

Livestrong was built on the back of Lance's success. People survive cancer every day. But a near death to athletic champion doesn't happen very often. The guy was Time man of the year how many times? What is unfortunate is its all built on a lie.

I laugh at people who want to give him a free pass because of the foundation. I wonder if Bernie Madoff had donated 100 million to charity if you would forgive him? His whole story is based off a lie. If you want to support and/or donate to a charity for cancer...I recommend the V Foundation. Compare Valvano and Armstrong...its not even a match
