I am closing my 5 Dimes Account and so should you.

I opened an account at 5 dimes a while back as almost as a default as there were very few legit books with solid REPS at the time.....I have had only one issue at 5 Dimes but let it go because it was a minimal amount of $$$.....It was a live in play wager and would have been impossible for me to prove my side...............I have heard of the CEO Tony having closed several accounts when players have asked to speak with him regarding a dispute.....The customer being right or wrong is not the issue for me, him closing the account for asking to speak with hime regarding the dispute is the issue......When the ACCT is closed, your balance is gone........I have never had any disputes with 5 Dimes but now I am in a postition that if a wager was ever misgraded I would be scared to bring it up...This guy bet on a MMA fight and lost because the time keeper wrote down the wrong time on Bruce Buffers card....

I actually read the whole the thing (took a few minutes) and lots of things piqued my interest, but none more than the above quote which was from you. The site/guy is probably doing you a favor. Not being a jerk or anything, but desperate degenerates are best cut off from the action. Happens in casinos too.

Tony of 5Dimes is no doubt the biggest azzhole in internet gaming.

Had my beef with him about ten years ago.

ONLY Heritage and Bokkmaker for me.

I realize I am only a $100 player but that is not the point here.

What really shocks me is that nobody has taken this guy out as yet.

Read it also. What can you do even if you were right. The guy said no to you about twenty times. I'm with Getty on this, you do this at a casino and eventually they will toss you out. But you saying we should all close our accounts because you had a bad experience?

This did not happen to me..........I just have seen too many times where this guy closes peoples accounts because he feels like it.....He has that reputation.....I would hate to be in a situation where I had a wager misgraded and would be afraid to query about it becuse my ACCT could get closed cause Tony is in a bad mood...........I am not closing it ASAP....I have too much in there and alot pending...I will slowly drain it out.

Literally HUNDREDS of documented incidents with Tony and still there are those who insist 5Dimes is the greatest thing since sliced bread.  The only thing I can say is that you all have been warned.  It's only a matter of time until Tony pulls his usual BS on YOU and only then might you finally believe.

Obviously, it wasn't THAT big a deal to the guy... he didn't even come in to post the story himself!!!



Regardless, GETTY, you're a class-act!  I could no doubt go on a degen tirade and sob story...just glad to know a genuine Man like yourself is here for encouragement.  #onedayillquit2

A few cranks have a problem with a book so all of us who have had no problems with the book for 10+ years should stop using the book?      That's like me saying the McDonalds down the street spat in my food so no one should eat McDonalds any more.

First, nobody on this threead has never had an issue with 5 Dimes...It was made clear in the first post and in two others that this unfortuanate incident did not happen to me...In fact, it  happened last November and was posted in numerous gambling boards but not Covers...From time to time, to be safe I check out several sportsbook watchdog sites.....In the past I have heard of Tony who is the CEO of 5 Dimes closing accounts in questionable situations but  this is the first time I have seen hime close an account of a customer who had a real, legit complaint and actually should have won his bet.....PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THE LINK ON POST #9 ON THIS THREAD....Very few books even offered this particular bet as it was on the undercard of an MMA event The amount of wagers made on this was minimal and majority of the people who made the wager would have assumed they lost....With the amount of customers Tony has he can afford to close accounts rather than do the right thing.....By just grading it as a loss when he knows the customer knows they won he is right to assume the customer has lost confidence and will stop playing, by closing the ACCT he gets to keep the balance...At least one other book graded this customers wager as a win as you will see in the link.

Terrible analogy, there is only one 5 Dimes and one CEO at 5 Dimes. who has proven time and time again he does not mind stealing customers money by closing funded accounts...Tony has made enough money that his only problem is spending it..He will gladly pay whatever it takes to make 5 Dimes the #1 Sportsbook on any site.

LOL...As stated above, I did not make the wager....But I can speak for the person who did and anybody else in that situation....No, the specific sequence of events that took place IS the issue here.

However, read the link on PG 3....If 5 Dimes makes an error with the payout odds that favors you and you contact management on 2 different occassions to bring up the error but nothing gets done about it as you have been assured multiple times your balance is correct, you are now in a situation you cant win..If you go on a hot streak your previous wagers get broken down and everything you won gets taken away, your account closed and like the guy in the PG 3 link you will get threatend if you do not repay any payouts you received after their error was made.....SO if I did bet the otherside and received a winning grade even though I know I actually lost the bet I would be in a postition that I would not feel comfortable going on any kind of a hot streak.

By all means if you like 5 Dimes go ahead and keep using them....I am just giving my opinion

Bookmaker, Heritage and Youwager are all books with the same great REP 5 Dimes has but without the azzhole attitude "I am god" like attitude and yeas he said that.

I agree completely.

 Well, I have done my part in trying to warn people that 5 Dimes in the last 5 years has an owner who has "plenty of money"  (yes he said that to a customer) and is in a postition to purchase great reviews for a long time to come....He has always been known to be a dickk but has never been so happy to show it and so quick to close an account. And you dont have to be wrong for this to happen....In reality odds are you will never have a problem with them and never have the pleasure to talk with Tony.......Its a personal decision for me to take my business elsewhere to a business who has a higher respect foe their customers and still are trying to build their REP with service and not money.
Dont worry, I could not care less if you decide to play at 5 Dimes.

I also was aww struck by GETTYS #4 post......Because the important thing , the thing the matters the most beyond anything else is that the gambler in question here has a gambling problem and therefore labeled a degenerate. I am so glad we have someone with such superior morals, who is so enlightend, generous and forgiving on this site. Someone like GETTY3...#onedayillquit3

Sorry, too long to read. I've only had one experience with Tony, but I don't remember exactly what it was about. All I remember is he wasn't the nicest guy in the world.

In a world where every company is fighting so hard for customers, everyone is so used to management being pushovers and trying to make customers happy. That isn't the case with 5 dimes, but their betting options and odds are by far the best in the industry, no one can deny that. If you do, you're simply wrong.

Tony's got a rep, and I don't think that's changing. A few years back I went on an amazing run and turned 300 bucks into 17k in about a week, and they started limiting my wagers. It was a little annoying, but I was able to call in a few before I dumped it all. That was my only gripe with them.

Sorry, I'm not exactly familiar with MMA betting, if I saw an over 2.5 round line, I would understand it to mean that it would have to go the full 3 rounds for the over to hit. Was that the argument?

I wasn't aware that half a round would count towards the half, but like I said, I'm not experienced when it comes to UFC or even boxing.

Arguing with Tony will get you nowhere though unfortunately. Hopefully if you're playing with them and you get screwed, that it's not for a lot of money.

I was reading that Bovada live betting is pretty shady as well. Like they intentionally lag behind a bit or something.

Also wanted to note that since gambling is technically illegal, and he's operating out of Costa Rica he pretty much has all the leverage.

Not like you can do a chargeback and say they screwed you on bet. Tony knows this and takes full advantage of it.

What's a shame is there will be so many suckers that join 5dimes and it's because of SBR. They claim to be the watchdog etc but they always remove complaints and evidence of 5dimes wrong doing to thousands of innocent customers. SBR is in on the 5dimes scamming as they were with betislands who ran off with over 1.5 million dollars.
