According to the always reliable worldwide web, the average man has sex with seven women during his lifetime. That’s seems ridiculously low.
I’m getting ready to turn 36 and have slept with approximately 50 women. If I really sat down and thought back through my 18 years of sexual activity, I could probably get an exact number. But it’s really not worth it. I’m positive that 50 is a solid estimate.
By no means am I bragging. I’m not ashamed, but not bubbling over with pride either. I certainly didn’t eclipse the average because I’m some super-cool dude. In high school, I was a dorky water boy. My prom date had digital sex with one of my friends in the hot tub of the after party while I was in the other room.
Shortly after high school, I elected to get my own apartment instead of going straight to college. I still hung out with high school kids, so my apartment became a good place to party. Suddenly, I got a lot more popular with the women.Still, by the time, I did head to college I had only a handful of sexual conquests.
Then, I moved to New Orleans. I didn’t suddenly get sexier, but let’s just say, graveyard bartenders do very well in the Big Easy, no matter how dorky they are.
For around a four-year period, I got a lot of action. The quality of the action wasn’t spectacular. But it was certainly good times in New Orleans, filled with sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll. It was a great run.
Now, things have slowed considerably, like I assume most men my age experience. I’m a single dad, who lives with my baby mama. I doubt I’ll ever sleep with anyone else ever again, which is kind of depressing, but not really.
That brings me to the research part of this post:
A) Seven seems like a ridiculously low number of women for the average man to sleep with during his lifetime. Do you agree? If you’re cool with it, maybe we could all post our number and kind of see what the average is here on Covers.
B) If you were to lie about your number, would you make it larger or smaller? I’d probably make mine smaller.
C) What do you think a good number to tell a girl that you’re getting ready to be interment with is? I would say 11.
D) Finally, if you had to put an over/under on the number of women you’ll sleep with from here on out, what would it be? Mine would be 1.5.
