looks good, although you failed to mention the two best shows on amc.

With Movie actors doing a lot of TV these day's, I wouldn't be surprised if Ray Liotta is being considered to play Henry.

nice heads up!!  I will be tuning in for sure...I have been missing some mob TV ever since Sopranos left.  Boardwalk Empire is a decent show, but Goodfellas has always been the best Italian movie!

clubdirt sharkysden ray liotta is 57 years old but he could play the older henry hill. daveyt25 i'm still pissed they ended the sopranos so damn early. the actors are going to make or break the show. it's going to be hard to find people to play joe pesci, robert de niro, and ray liotta's roles. those are some pretty big damn shoes to fill.

Right but when i read that

Scorsese came on as a producer, joining the film’s original producer, Irwin Winkler, and the original writer, Nicholas Pileggi.

that gave me a little confidence that the show is in good hands. you people seem like good...fellas

plus, amc has a great track record so i'd give them the benefit of the doubt.  and as soon as money realizes mad men is the best show on tv, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt as well.

color me skeptical...I can't see how this series can even be in the same sentence as the movie.
Surprise....Hollywood can't come up with an original idea so they make a movie into a TV series.
Supposed to follow Henry Hill after he flips.  I'll save you many hours....he is placed in Arizona and after laying low for a while, he starts dealing drugs again and gets busted again.  There is your fucking series.

the reason i have the walking dead and hell on wheels first is because i like action/western more than the old school stylized drama.

i felt the same way at first but then i see the movie on amc changing channels and i wanted to see more of that concept. if done right it could be just as good as the sopranos or better.

Youz would think that they would put a new series like goodfellas on Hbo or show time just for utilization of strong language and graphic violence,since both of those are a major

I don't disagree, but if the TV Series is a tenth as good as the movie, it will still be better than most of the crap on TV.

i completely forgot about that shit. I hope they make it a rated m for mature show then but i have seen goodfellas on amc many times and it's still good but good point though i guess hbo or showtime might have been a better idea. thorpe

Like Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad or Hell on Wheels doesn't contain adult language/violence? 

AMC knows what their doing, hopefully this show will be awesome as well.
