Can&#x27;t you say that about pretty much alot of billionaires?

He&#x27;s a dreamer and idealist that is not afraid to go all in.

Either way it&#x27;s pretty easy to know about this guy- we are in the internet age.   Read a long article about him once.&#xD;&#xA;PayPal, deal with US government, deal with Toyota, Iron Man, put all his money on Tesla, borrowed money on iou and banking big once Tesla goes public, trying to build a thingie to go to outer space and looking to sell to people to get to outer space. &#xD;&#xA;Am I missing anything?

Forgot, he also wants to do direct sales of Tesla like many companies already do in other industries.

If that's what you are referring to as not being a profiteer then there's many others you can also put under that umbrella.

Tesla is still new. Only time will tell of its reliability and quality. It needs to last at least 10 years without any out of the ordinary issues like any normal vehicle to see if it's worth it's price.

I posted this mostly because I have read up on him and was offered an interview, through a friend, at SpaceX.

Also, had he defaulted on the loan and that become public I'm almost certain it would have been posted on here as another failed "green" start up, that would have been ripped apart by every Republican on here.

Just trying to find some positivity for someone trying to be inventive....even if he does make some money off of it.

I understand if it's no big deal for you if someone pas back alone and I agree with you in some ways that it's not. I do think it's an achievement that this particular company was able to pay it back after there were so many doubters. I think this is a large positive step in automotive engineering.

I applaud Elon for this, even of its not a big deal on the surface.

The guy does know his stuff.  There&#x27;s no doubt about that.  He has billions to prove that.&#xD;&#xA;When you say he is making a large positive step in auto engineering, what is he doing differently that other auto companies like Toyota or Honda isn&#x27;t doing?

Just my opinion but I think building gas free cars, and working to make them more affordable and efficient, in the US is a large positive step.

I understand all car companies are doing the same but they are operating under different circumstances i.e already established in the market, subsidizing R & D with has cars. I think this is a big step towards legitimizing TE market of vehicles like this, especially or his company. This should help him to line up future investors.

I think he undertakes projects, not just Tesla either, that most people wouldn't or couldn't take on. I gave him credit for it.

What will you ask him when you interview him?

I sometimes wonder what people sit down and discuss with Warren Buffet when they win the auction for $500k or whatever it is now just to have lunch with the man for charity. I can imagine what they are asking but imagination never really answers the question of what they are really asking and what they really got from it. Highly doubt they are paying the fee so they can eat with a billionaire since they are super rich themselves.

A car company paying their government debt 10 YEARS EARLY is quite remarkable.  I&#x27;ve never heard of the CEO or founder buy that many shares in a SECONDARY offering.  Most of the time when u go to the equity markets for funding, like TSLA did, the stock crashes by the % of the dilution ... go look at the TSLA chart ... it went straight up.  There&#x27;s something about this company thatz just insane.

I was an offered an interview for a job at SpaceX (a Musk owned company). A friend of mine works there and asked me if I wanted to interview for a position within the company. Sorry for any confusion, although that was a pretty clever response.
