For anyone who thinks sexual orientation is a choice

Hope you watched Anderson Cooper's reporting on the "sissy boy" therapy....an approach by some doctors at UCLA which required parents to punish "gay" behavior while their kids were growing up. 

It's sickening. 

 

Hutch don't know if it is a choice or genetic but literally and figuratively different strokes for different folks.

i can tell you right now.

 

If my kid acted like a wuss, a sissy, or a gay...... he would be punished............ no son of mine is gay

 

but ive never had that problem... i must be doing something right

My single goal in life is to raise sissy gay kids

I believe there are both types in this day and age. I believe some people are born that way and others evolve into that lifestyle. As a parent of a 5 yr old boy, I certainly hope he lives a straight lifestyle but if by chance he ends up gay that's on him and parents shouldn't take it as a direct reflection of their parenting. I don't believe a good parent tries to steer their children into what they want them to be (that's selfish). If your child has character and integrity and is an overall good person, that's all you should hope for.

 

To those who believe it is a willful choice, the question I have is:

Why the hell would anyone ever CHOOSE to be gay and have to deal with all the bullshit that comes along with that?

Man,  i associate with gay people on a daily basis, and im willing to bet (we are on covers you know) that i work and associate with gays and lesbians much more than anyone in this thread.

Thats on them and whatever makes them happy.Its just not for me.    I just dont think you or any news station should be concerned with how people raise their kids.  If they want to raise them whatever way they want to they can........ this is the USA, not Soviet Russia.

Not at all. Someone can date women and still be "gay". It's not like they just wake up one day and decide they'd like to suck some dick.

Also, this doesn't really answer my question as to why anyone would ever want to subject themselves to the things that gay people have to go through willingly.

I'm not sure why you are so insecure and afraid of gay people but I have news for you, if one of your kids does turn out to be gay and you try to suppress it chances are that kid will come out as a FLAMING homosexual as soon as he/she moves out of your household. Not only that but when they are old enough they will see you as a bitter piece of shit for not appreciating them for who they are and trying to make them something they are clearly not. Relationship = Ruined.

Too many people get caught up in the sexual aspect of a gay relationship. Many people turn gay in adulthood because they find a relationship with one specific person of the same sex is more fulfilling than what they've had before. This happens mostly with women, and I believe most of us men are thinking strictly gay guys here. I know a few women that are definitely not GAY, as in born to only like women. They have chosen to get in relationships with women because they are treated better and the lifestyle is more aligned to what they want out of life.

Then they are not gay, they are bisexual. There's a difference.

Many of the people in this forum choose things that others can't understand. I can't fathom why someone would smoke cigarettes or why someone would not want children. Too each their own. Kapono you are an old vet to this forum and something tells me that you don't really give a fuck what others think of you or your lifestyle. I think most gay people are just numb and want to be left alone. If they get shit, they get could at letting it roll off their backs.

There is a difference to you......but is their a difference if you see them walking down the street holding hands and you don't know the back story?
