Someone who once worked for Hinn was mentioned in an article exposing the whole thing.
That person's job was to 'go over' the prayer requests - envelopes with prayer requests and $$ in them). He said every one with that job was told to take the cash out of the envelopes and throw the written requests and the envelopes away.

It's the entrenched culture down there and it isn't going away any time soon. You'll feel it if you ever travel there. It's palpable. The billboards, the churches, the bumper stickers in the backwoods, frontwoods, and every woods imaginable...God, guns and grits and gravy... in that order.
Then of course, you'll see surveys for highest porn site usage in the US and the Bible Belt states consistently dominate.
