Kid Rio is simply a messenger. His mind is in a good place. His dellivery however is misplaced and judgemental.

Oh, I didn't turn this into the Jesus forum....this is the General Forum.  And I didn't start this thread about Angels. 

All I did has give my opinion. 

Here's a hint.......the whole Bible thing is just like "fading the Public".  All you people say there is no God, the bible is a fraud, Christians are a joke, etc.........You'd better go with the Sharps (Jesus), because he wins.

Kid, if you could put a gambling slant on the Bible, I'd bet (sorry, there's that word again) more people on this board would read it. And if you put the word Gambler's above Bible, there would be so much reading going on, we'd forget to post!

In your list, I'd change 'boobs' to avatars. Good grief, you can count on some dipshit starting a 'Who's got the hottest avatar' thread every other week. Myself, looking at something 1 inch tall promotes eyestrain, so really no need.

And Kid IS RIGHT ABOUT ONE THING. If you don't know about something, let's say for the sake of this site, gambling, read more about it. Learn. I would say that is why most of us are here. We read threads about teams-and people bet
-because they think they know something
-weather
-inside info
-momentum
-historical comparisons
-injuries
-coaches
-offense
-defense
-money management

But, Kid does serve a purpose. That of the alternate view. You can't see everything without opening your eyes. If one person read a bible or went to church because of something Kid said, I'd bet he'd be happy. If somebody would learn to bet properly, I'd be happy.

It's not one or the other. There are Christians (as well as other religions), and there are gamblers. There are Christian gambles. My church is sponsoring a 'casino' night (non-cash prizes, feh). So, I'll go.

I don't know about you, but when I win big, I tip big.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about religion, but I can't understand Christianity.  The funny thing is that I was raised Catholic and went to 'CCD' (I don't even know what that stands for but it was once a week for less than an hour to learn about the religion) and all I heard about was Jospeh, Noah's Ark, burning bushes, plagues brought on by God, etc.... all the bullshit.  Nobody ever really said that 'God' (and it seems to me that most religious people really imagine God being a guy in the sky who sees everything we do and is concerned with our daily lives - I think 'God' is more of an energy that keeps the universe going) --anyway, nobody ever said that God brought us Jesus, a son of God in the image of man who would die and go to 'heaven' so that we too could go to heaven when we die.  As ridiculous as that may sound to some people looking at it from a different perspective I think thats actually a pretty cool concept, but its such a huge stretch to say that we should live our lives based on a book about Jesus (which is filled with all the garbage I mentioned earlier) and if we even consider other theories about how to live our lives, we will burn in hell for eternity.

I've found Buddhism to be the best 'religion' for me because it really isn't much a of a religion at all, more of a way of living your life so that you can be as happy as possible, and they teach you to challenge all the concepts of Buddhism and find what you believe to be true, because that is what will make you the happiest.  In the same way, clearly Christianity/Catholicism (I really don't know the difference if someone can explain) works for Kid Rio so I'm happy that he's happy -- but don't push your beliefs on me and I won't either.

P.S. Kid Rio, looking for more answers about religion I sent you a PM that wasn't putting down your religion at all I really just want to learn more about what you believe, and you won't answer me.  What's the deal?

P.P.S. Hawk - I should have made my mocking of the religion more obvious, in my post I meant to highlight the fact that thinking outside of catholic walls will make you burn in hell.  I didn't do a great job.  Keep up the good work.

--And no, I don't believe in Angels.  Lets Go BUCS.

this thread is outrageous.

i believe in an overall "energy or power" do good and usually things turn out ok

the whole christ thing is nice, but its just too narrow minded. why do i have to praise a guy to be considered a decent person, our attention should be towards reality.
