40% infected would equate to 132 million infected.
20% hospitalied rate would require 26,400,000 hospital beds or 25 million than the U.S. has total capacity for.
Due to the overwhelming demands put on the US healthcare system, the CFR (case fatality rate) jumps to 6.7% which means of the 132 million infected, 8.84 million people die.
There are 93 million US citizens 55 or older, assuming the bulk of the deaths (100% to keep it simple) come from this age group, it would wipe out 9.5% of this population sector.

He said Trump won't let the market tank during an election year. I think I can still time it so long as I do not get too greedy, meaning the rate cut won't happen until something (nearly) catastrophic happens.
The other thing I need to be cognizant of is the winter flu season typically subsides by end of March, will COVID-19 behave like every other "flu virus" before it in the past 10 years or are we on to something unique? Regardless I do not see myself holding this position past mid-to-late March.

Influenza has killed over 160,000 people this year and every year flu shot is usually worthless. 1.4 Billion people and 3,000 dead. You have a better chance of committing suicide #1 killer in young Americans, overdosing on opioids #2 Killer, Car accidents #3, Gun violence #4 but when linked to suicide #1. Covid 19 is not in the top 100. Stop watching the news eat property, exercise. I guess you guys were worried about terrorist attacks to instead of random shootings and mass shootings or work shootings. Use your brain. The Spanish Flu killed the most in the USA. It didn't come from Spain it came from the Midwest of the USA so American has had and spread the largest pandemic in the modern world. Educate yourself
