Dyson are no better (in fact a lot worse) than a 150 dollar hoover. I have had them all, and the dyson is just a 500 dollar waste of money that does no better than a good hoover.
Consumer reports consistently has dyson rated towards the very bottom.

My wife and I just recently purchased a new vacuum, after owning a 150 dollar piece of shit Hoover for a couple of years. We shopped around, and had a friend who let us carry their Dyson home to try, as well as borrowing my parents Oreck to try. The Dyson won hands down, Your home is your biggest investment, so spend a few extra dollars and get you a Dyson, you wont regret it.

i bought my wife a dyson for we have 2 labs and it's the best thing we ever did. bought it at kohl's on sale and had a 30% off coupon and paid 325.00 versus 515.00. works better than anything we ever had.

Mine is the same age as yours. Female. Totally spoiled little brat. A ton of personality. I told my wife if there is ever a dog that could use a psychologist, our dog is the one. Now that we have our first child, she's been a bit more depressed being second.
