Anyone else ever took ...

Question

College classes online? Was it harder than to be as successful then being in class with an actual physical teacher in front of you ? I know i make a lot of dumb posts in general discussion (medicinal maryjane) to blame for that lol. But im 2 days from starting classes and a little worried ive always been able to retain information but used to being in classroom structured type situation. Any comments are appreciated

IF you stay up on them and do the work that the professor assigns they are alot easier

Online classes are usually much easier than in person classes. You don't have to be at class at any certain time there is basically assignments and due dates. You could do all the assignments the first few days and have no work the rest of the "semester" Also you can look up anything online you are having trouble with

I&#x27;ve taken a few, and they aren&#x27;t too bad. Just make sure you stay on top of it, and check the site daily just to make sure nothing sneaks up on you. They were pretty easy for me, it&#x27;s nice to be able to hop on the computer whenever you want and get stuff done and submit your work. I also had a pretty helpful instructor that I could email, and usually get a response fairly quickly. He was also pretty generous in allowing an extra day or 2 if I told I forgot, or was going to be outta town. It was almost too easy, and I didn&#x27;t really take it too seriously. GL

I have taken quite a few and am starting again this fall on some more graduate work.  I appreciate the convenience.  I am glad my wife knows how to format because I am pretty shaky with computer apps.  It has been my experience that you end up writing a lot more papers and they have all required APA style formatting.

I prefer them.  Much easier to stay focused IMO because you are in a more comfortable setting.

I have taken my fair share of online classes. It depends on what the class is. I took a science class and it was really tough because we had to do the lab experiments by ourselves and that can get confusing if you don't know what your doing. I have also taken an English class and that was easy. Just work ahead and turn in the assignments earlier and you can coast through. I finished 9 weeks worth of assignments in 3 weeks and didn't have to do anything for the other 6 weeks. Just stay on top of the work because you don't want to have to turn in a bunch of stuff on the last day. Good Luck

I used Phoenix, too expensive, but you have to be disciplined and be prepared for the workload especially if you are working hard during the day

I tried these classes once. I kept getting distracted by porn, covers, and sports on tv. I think it&#39;s for some people.....but not for me.

Its a lot easier for the prof to fail you online.  If they see you in person you can talk to them.

If you actually want to learn the material, physically attending class is key. My school just started offering online classes but it's limited to Gen Ed credits. I'm currently taking Italian online and I'm getting an A, but I haven't really learned anything.

If it's a class geared toward your major I'd suggest going in. Even if they offered them, there's no way I'd take any kind of Accounting/Finance course online.

sorry you guys ... this is a old thread someone bumped... I got str8 A&#x27;s in every class I enrolled in.... then found out I could not be what I wanted to be (EMT/paramedic) because of my pastcriminal history. Therefore, I quit college altogether and now the best part of the job I currently have is eating free food out of the breakfast bar that they have there and being able to post on covers while at work

yeah sucks cuz I was killin it... didnt get a grade under a 95% in any class.... then once again the shit I did in past shit all over me... 3rd time I had a chance at a pretty damn good career thrown down the shitter by something I did years ago
