I don't think this is a good idea. He's a great entertainer. He certainly does not have to worry about what he'll do after his basketball career, but this is not a good idea.

I think this show is ridiculous. Shaq is going up against the best athletes in their respective sport......if he doesnt get embarassed im calling fake. Like lets say he keeps it close with tiger...that would be fake as hell. Who wants to see Shaq get embarassed in other sports? I dont understand........

Cant deny Shaq's entertainment factor but this would be like Tiger Woods vs. Ray Lewis in a tackling competition.......stupid.

Yea...Shaq won't be able to compete with these guys. I think it's going to be more of comedy than competition. But I agree...it would be more run to see him v another athlete in a different sport. This is a bit off topic but I would like to see Smoltz go 18 rounds of gold against Tiger. I heard Smoltz is good enough to go on tour. I'd love to see him actually play.

I wish that I didn't know this now.

I hope that somehow my Suns make it to the playoffs, and then play Cleve and bump them.

I know it's a fucvking fantasy, so just let it go, but LeBron and Shaq can just disappear.

I'll play nostradamous and predict that one on the two,...James or O'Neal goes down in a freak injury  before  the season barely  starts and misses at least 70% of the season...

I won't forget this post.  It'll be ether a punk dirty play by someone against James, or O'Neal just putting himself in a bad situation and gets hurt.

Suns return for a #6 seed in the West playoffs.............

In all seriousness, they keep adding these little rinky dink improvements and think its enough. NEWSFLASH....LBJ needs another player. Not a 2 assist per game pg named MO , or an over the hill but still a pretty decent center named SHAQ....real help.
 
I just cant picture LBJ going down. I try and I try and I cant see it. Maybe because no one player going down would be so detrimental to one team....idk I tried though.

Sparky.......even if Smoltz beat him in say an 18hole competition, I would look at it like Rivers losing to the high school kid in the tire throw, or LBJ losing in horse....or MJ losing a one on one to some bum ceo.....
 
We know the guy [woods] is lightyears ahead...so what does it prove? Not much , ya know? Unless you are thinking Smoltz might be on tigers level , which I know you arent saying....I wouldnt find it that interesting. Not much of a golf fan but I dont think thats it.

I agree...but Tiger said that Smoltz was his toughest competition outside of actual pro golfers. And gold if different then any of the other things you mentioned. 1 on 1 does not show a basketball player's ability, even after said basketball player has retired and was shooting 3 pointers the entire time and playing in a game to 3. HORSE has nothing to do with playing an actual game either. And same with throwing a football through a tire...has nothing to do with true football playing ability. A 1 on 1 golf match or 1 on 1 tennis match is different. They're not altering how they play, they're just playing the way they would in real competiton. You understand what I'm saying? I may have veered off and went into some weird stuff there. Kinda confused myself.

I understand what youre saying because Golf is golf.......18 holes equals 18 holes. Thats how the game is played. Football isnt played with tires, Basketball isnt one on one [professionally] and Horse is horse. 18 holes = 18 holes. What I was trying to say is that a one time victory is just that, a one time fluke victory. Now if Smoltz beat Tiger consistently then damn   I hope Smoltz wasnt being called good on a comparison to Barkley  but  for real...Smoltz must be pretty good for that comment.

Smoltz has gotten compliments from a lot of people. He plays with Tiger a lot. I never hear of an outcome, but always hear highly of him. Also from his teammates when they play golf with him. But Barkley is hilarous to watch golf. I've seen highlights of him and his stutter step thing he does before he hits the ball is just awful. How does one even learn to hit like that?

Alright...it's not what I thought. 7 on 7 here with Shaq and Big Ben being the respective QB's. Thats more interesting than I thought. Not that I knew what to think. He'll still get smacked by Williams in tennis.

It was a pretty good show. I couldn't really stay into it though. I'm happy he lost though. It shows that it isn't 100% staged. I don't think he'll win any of these competitions but he's a funny guy so he's something to keep an eye on.

Steve Nash's name was listed on the credits as an executive producer I believe. May have been a joint project of some sort but didn't steal it for sure.

I thought the show was terrible. Almost unwatchable. I liked seeing Ben's house but the rest was cheeseball city. Just another scripted, edited reality show. The only positive is all the big name athletes in this.

Steve Nash reportedly told Shaquille O'Neal about a reality show he was pursuing in early 2008. It would feature Nash taking on professional athletes in their own sport.

As you probably know, Shaq now has a reality show under the exact same premise, and Nash reportedly said "You mean the idea you stole from me?" according to a Suns representative. Nash even sought out an entertainment lawyer, and ended up getting an executive-producer credit on the show, along with compensation.
