    Requiem Mass in D Minor

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's final Masterpiece was commissioned in mid 1791 by the Austrian count Franz Von Walsegg, as a Tribute to the passing of his young wife Anna. Mozart began his final composition in Prague, suffering from an undetermined illness, which would eventually take his life and rob him of the chance to see the completion of his Magnum Opus. After Mozart's death, his understudy 'Franz Xaver Süssmayr', at the behest of Mozart's wife, completed the missing parts of the Requiem.

Requiem Mass was first performed on January 2, 1793, in a private concert for the benefit of Mozart's grieving wife, Constanze Mozart.

The Following are the lyrics, translated from their Original Latin

    Grant them eternal rest, Lord,
and let perpetual light shine on them.
You are praised, God, in Zion,
and homage will be paid to You in Jerusalem.
    Hear my prayer,
to You all flesh will come.
    Grant them eternal rest, Lord,
and let perpetual light shine on them.

    Lord, have mercy on us.
    Christ, have mercy on us.
    Lord, have mercy on us.

Day of wrath, day of anger
will dissolve the world in ashes,
as foretold by David and the Sibyl.
    Great trembling there will be
when the Judge descends from heaven
    to examine all things closely.

The trumpet will send its wondrous sound
    throughout earth's sepulchres
and gather all before the throne.
Death and nature will be astounded,
    when all creation rises again,
    to answer the judgment.
A book will be brought forth,
in which all will be written,
by which the world will be judged.
When the judge takes his place,
what is hidden will be revealed,
    nothing will remain unavenged.
What shall a wretch like me say?
    Who shall intercede for me,
when the just ones need mercy?

    King of tremendous majesty,
who freely saves those worthy ones,
    save me, source of mercy.

    Remember, kind Jesus,
    my salvation caused your suffering;
do not forsake me on that day.

Faint and weary you have sought me,
    redeemed me, suffering on the cross;
may such great effort not be in vain.

    Righteous judge of vengeance,
grant me the gift of absolution
    before the day of retribution.

I moan as one who is guilty:
    owning my shame with a red face;
    suppliant before you, Lord.

    You, who absolved Mary,
    and listened to the thief,
    give me hope also.

    My prayers are unworthy,
    but, good Lord, have mercy,
and rescue me from eternal fire.

Provide me a place among the sheep,
and separate me from the goats,
guiding me to Your right hand.

    When the accused are confounded,
and doomed to flames of woe,
    call me among the blessed.

    I kneel with submissive heart,
    my contrition is like ashes,
help me in my final condition.

That day of tears and mourning,
when from the ashes shall arise,
    all humanity to be judged.
Spare us by your mercy, Lord,
    gentle Lord Jesus,
    grant them eternal rest. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, King of glory,
liberate the souls of the faithful,
departed from the pains of hell
    and from the bottomless pit.
Deliver them from the lion's mouth,
    lest hell swallow them up,
    lest they fall into darkness.

    Let the standard-bearer, holy Michael,
    bring them into holy light.

    Which was promised to Abraham
    and his descendants.

Sacrifices and prayers of praise, Lord,
    we offer to You.
Receive them in behalf of those souls
    we commemorate today.
    And let them, Lord,
    pass from death to life,
    which was promised to Abraham
    and his descendants.

Lamb of God, who takes away
    the sins of the world,
    grant them eternal rest.
Lamb of God, who takes away
    the sins of the world,
    Grant them eternal rest.
Lamb of God, who takes away
    the sins of the world,
    grant them eternal rest forever.

Let eternal light shine on them, Lord,
as with Your saints in eternity,
    because You are merciful.
    Grant them eternal rest, Lord,
and let perpetual light shine on them,
as with Your saints in eternity,
    because You are merciful.

    grant them eternal rest forever.

Let eternal light shine on them, Lord,
as with Your saints in eternity,
    because You are merciful.
    Grant them eternal rest, Lord,
and let perpetual light shine on them,
as with Your saints in eternity,
    because You are merciful.

Yes a prayer for the families. Starwink....there are few people(civilians). in this country that know more about operation wide receiver and fast and furious than i. I promise you that those guns were walked without tracing. In 06 the wide receiver...run by keystone cops...planted bent receivers and had planes flying above to get them. Yet the buyers knew...drove in circles for four hours til refueling....and went to their masters clean. The program was shut down. If youd like to debate how f and f was a different program and why ill see you in the politics section later. But suffice to say im right and youre wrong about that. You cant believe everything the media tells you.

An international campaign should be started encouraging people planning deranged acts to just kill themselves. Please save the world the horror, pain, and just sacrifice your own sick ass without killing innocent people.

Believe me the U.S. misses Bush/Cheney after living through 3.5 years of an unqualified idiot finishing off the country.
Any comments on Fast & Furious or doesn't your media report it across the pond that our CURRENT administration authorized 2,000 assault rifles be sold to Mexican cartel members?

A lot of people seem to live in fear.
Fear of getting mugged (what are the chances?), getting killed by total strangers (what are the chances?), fear of a terrorist attack (chances?), fear of god and going to Hell ..etc.

I grow tired of listening to you look down your nose at americans (or america).  It is obvious  to me that you are the only one whom is hosting a "fear".

RJSMITH, guns scare you to death.  My theory is that with all of that sophisticated european intellect, you cannot seem to understand that if you are confronted by a criminal element, odds are such that he or she will be armed.  Furthermore, if you do not have the means to defend yourself vs lethal force (ie firearms) you will perish.  This is a certainty.

Personally, I live in a very sparcely poplulated area of the Northwestern United States.  As and avid outdoorsman, I can tell you that as soon as I enter the wilderness I am at the bottom of the foodchain........so I take my firearms with me......and I quickly ascend to the top.  I see entering many of the metropolitan areas in the US the same way....it is always better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.

Take my advice RJSMITH.....stay in Sweden and enjoy your healthcare....that is until an armed populace decides that they want to take up skiing.

Oh yeah, and Robyn is terrible.   Have a nice fucking day.

Yeah we gotta protect our right to bear arms and keep away the boogie man US government.

Cue the NRA damage control media ads and pitch men hitting the pavement so they and the military...errrr guns manufacturers dont drop their profits and executive salaries.

There is absolutely no reason to rationalize having guns with this capacity, it has zero to do with government fear or the second amendment and all to do with corporate profit and lobby greed.

Why do people want to hit him and harm the murdere last night?

Didnt his brain just evolve differently from the rest of us? it's just different. Just as the chemical reactions are different for homosexuals, which is acceptable to most atheists, so it should be for rapists and serial killers and child molesters. They're all OK....they just have a different chemical makeup and in no way should be blamed for what those chemical reactions make them do. Technically they shouldn't even be punished for what they do. I mean......who are WE to tell THEM how to live their lives? They were simply born that way so why should we punish them for that? We should be sympathetic to their desires and try to help them but certainly not punish them. They just have different chemical reactions than we do. Its not their fault...

Wall, this guy purchased his AR-15 under strict law. That means a very limited clip equaling the speed of a hunting rifle with minimal capacity. 6-9 tops. He managed to purchased full gear and a gorilla clip for that rifle. Period.

The boy was psychotic and there was no stopping him. ATF cyber unit will have to answer some very hard questions.

Think so but a .223 AR-15 round to the head an chest shouldn't be standard punishment.

    WallStreet:

I agree that there was no "rational" need for this kid to have that kind of armament at the movies.  A "rational" person would never have committed this kind of crime.

That is the point of being able to arm yourself...to protect against the irrational.  We live in a country of 350+ million people, and unfortunately there are people out there that are capable of this kind of violence.

No matter how tight the gun laws become, you will never be able to keep dangerous weapons away from sociopaths.   The fact is that the guns already exist in large numbers.......criminals will find ways to obtain them.

And as for painting everyone whom values their gun rights as a militia man or freeman that fears the government, well, that lacks accuracy.

This whole tragedy strikes me as more of a societal problem than a gun problem....I am more inclined to place the blame on antidepressants (big pharma participates in some lobbying too) and the 1st person shooter video games (entertainment lobby) than the actual guns themselves. It seems to me that the presence of these factors in an already unstable person's life, may unltimately contribute to a psyche that values life so little.  We will have to wait and see if these inputs were present in the shooter's life before pursuing that link in this case.

In my opinion not all guns should be available to everyone.  There is no reason for a huge clip in the AR-15...agreed on that point.....no functional reason.  Same as RPG's or anything else.

In any case, this was a terrible tragedy and my deepest condolences to victims and their families.

question #1 ... why is he "alleged" in the (whatever)?

question #2 ... what is the over under of days, months, years he lives?

question #3 ... why allow crazy mental insane fuckers a court date?
(why does the state have to PROVE he is guilty)

united states justice department has no common sense!
thats why there are so many lawyers

if the United States will not have an eye for an eye justice, this shit will happen when it happens ... (shit happens)

same as chicago having murders every damn day!

innocent people go to war to get killed, why not kill the bad tough guys in gangs? no questions asked!

innocent little girls are getting killed by a stray bullet in chicago all most every week
nbc nightly news had a report on this a couple of weeks ago

need stronger gun laws, stronger policies where a 20 year old student cant buy all that shit, thats obvious he was going to do that

I mean the people, the businesses who sell guns to crazy idiots, should be responsible in a way

or the united states or every independent state needs a gun buying policy.

united states is soft in a lot of policies, simple as that

any one can do what the dude did!

we need security every where! schools, stores, malls, etc...

or the united states or every independent state needs a gun buying policy.

united states is soft in a lot of policies, simple as that

any one can do what the dude did!

we need security every where! schools, stores, malls, etc...
