Withdrawal from Betphoenix

i just made a request for a withdrawal.  i'm just documenting my request here so i know when it was made.  also, if anyone has any comments or stories they'd like to share, feel free.

That website is a bunch of crooks. I'd love to take my money out but none of them want to talk to me.

update 8 days later. 

they originally said they had to split up my withdrawals into checks of $500 each and the remainder in a western union payment.  they said i would be given a western union control number with 3 days.  8 days later, no western union control number, no checks and my email to customer service two days ago has gone unanswered. 

not a good start. 

contacted customer service by live chat asking about the status of my withdrawal.  at first she said they couldn't process my withdrawal request because they still needed documents from me.  i told her that i sent a copy of my driver's license and credit card a week ago and got confirmation they received it.  then she said the western union withdrawal would be available by 6:00 pm tomorrow and the checks take 7-10 business days. 

we're making progress.

Anyway you slice it, 8 days and nothing has been sent yet is a problem.

Let's see what happens by Monday.

When I see stories like this I cant even begin to understand why people would go with such amateur type books. Ive been using betjamaica for years now and I can say, ive NEVER had to wait less then the SAME DAY for a wu payment or any payment to be processed for that matter. Im so used to getting paid quickly there I wouldnt even know how to react if it even took 2 days.  Get your money out and stay away.

if the WU info comes tomorrow and the checks come within 7-10 business days, then i have no complaints.  we'll see.

5th, i looked at betjamaica but they have terrible soccer selections and i'm not playing anything else right now so that book doesn't do me much good. 

I agree on that. Im not into that but ive heard that they dont offer much in the form of soccer.

i was told 7-10 business days for the check portion and 24 - 72 hours for the Western Union.  the check came early but still no Western Union money two weeks after the request.  every time i contact them, they tell me it should be today.

Final Update

i made the withdrawal request on 6/29.  they said they'd have to split up the payment into a check for the bulk of it and western union for the remainder above $500 increment amounts.  the check was to take 7-10 business days and the WU was to take 1-3 days. 

the check came early, maybe 4-5 business days. 

the western union information didn't come as of uesterday.  i contacted them three times over live chat and they said it would be ready soon.  i contact them today and they said the WU portion was sent on June 30, the day after my request, and gave me the WU info.  why they didn't tell me the two other times i contacted them since june 30, i have no idea.  anyway, i've been paid. 

assuming they did issue the WU payment on June 30, I give Betophoenix an A for payment and a C- for communication. 

overall, it was a good experience as a sportsbook and i can't say i wouldn't recommend them.

I stopped using BetPhoenix 6 months ago.  I always got paid by them... but certain things began to bother me.  Richard not responding to e-mails anymore, Richard not responding on the forums anymore, BetPhoenix sales reps calling me at least 3 times a month at all hours of the day (as late as 10:30 PM on a week night)  It just didn't seem like things were in good order over there.  The last payout I got I had to work for as well with multiple live chats and a phone call.

BP seems to be struggling... that is just my opinion.  Better books out there... but BP is better than many.

Richard has confirmed he no longer works for BP - he gave no details on his leaving - but can only assume it was not amicable. He has always done a good job for Dino - so i am a bit surprised here.

There are rumors betcris will take BP over - this would be good for everyone involved - as this place is run very poorly.

Have also been hearing most of the staff are leaving & going to Justbet - it is not a good work environment at BP as one can imagine these days.

I would not be leaving any $$ in BP at this time.
