So, I place a wager with Bovada for Edmonton +120. When the confirmation comes up it shows Edmonton -200 instead. I contacted them and they will not cancel the bet & let me repost bet. Guess this is what happens when you are up 20K. Crooks!

Ive had issues with both Bovada and 5Dimes. A few years ago, I deposited and took the bonus from Bovada. I had like $2,000 in real money that Ive won from wagering and like $3,000 from bonus money. I decided to play some blackjack and didn't realize that Bovada was taking my real/withdrawable money when I lost and gave me bonus money when I won. When I realized what was happening, about a third of my real/withdrawable money was gone and my bonus money was close to $4,000. I called and told them abut the situation and how I felt it was unfair that they would take my real money when I lost and gave me bonus money when I won, they pretty much told me to darn off and they can do what they please. At the end of the day, I had about $4,000 in bonus money that I couldn't touch unless I continued to play poker and triple the bonus money before I can withdraw it.

More recently, I withdrew $2,000 from 5dimes. They sent me a check on 4/18/2017 and I cashed it that day. Yesterday, I checked my bank account online and found out the check bounced. 5Dimes sent me a check that had insufficient funds.

Currently in the market for a new/better online book.

A few years back, I was dealing with "TheGreek.com".

Was depositing $500-$2,000 each time(appx $15,000 in total), and, kept losing, NEVER ONCE requesting a withdrawal.

FINALLY, I had won $27,000!!!

I requested that they send me $17,000 of it, leaving the remaining $10,000 in my account, so that I could continue to wager.

They NEVER SENT ME ONE DIME...EVER!!!!!!!

They REFUSED, and kept EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!

They INSISTED, that, I "did not have enough ID", to prove that "I was. the actual owner of the account"!!!

I sent them photocopies & scans, of ALL my ID, including ALL the same ID I used TO ORIGINALLY open my account, AND STILL it "wasn't satisfactory enough" for them!!!

They said, that, "I was missing a drivers license". I explained, it was suspended, however I scanned and sent them a copy of the suspended licence, with my picture on it, INCLUDING a copy of my American(fully valid), licence, AND Greek passport, Canadian passport, Greek ID, US ID, Canadian ID, US health card, Canadian health card, and birth certificate.

ALL THIS, was, "apparently" to them, "not acceptable"...

They claimed, that, I MUST HAVE a "valid Canadian licence", in order to "qualify" for a withdrawal, since I currently lived in Canada, when I placed the wagers!!!

So, it was ok to TAKE my money, REGARDLESS of, "where I lived", however, "did not qualify" to withdraw it, once I sent it.

TALK ABOUT A CROCK!!!!!!

They NEVER, EVER, SENT A CENT!!!

Very interesting reading this thread. I had a similar experience but did manage to finally get my money after a call to the US Attorney.

The problem with online sportsbooks is they are mostly run by criminals and unregulated.

The best sportsbook anywhere on line is Pinnacle. If the dude from Canada played at Pinnacle he would have no problems. They are fully funded, they pay immediately, they are run by reputable people, they have great lines, and they closed their doors to the USA. That's when I knew they were solid- when they just flat out refused to take money from the US- knowing they would have to report FATCA money and all of the other regulatory horsesht that our country imposes on the rest of the world.

If I was in Canada- I'd be playing Pinnacle only.

I had placed a $1000 bet on Federer to win Wimbledon outright in MARCH at +350 odds. I won $3500 and when I tried to withdraw my money Bovada said I needed to send them some documents. I sent the documents and they said I created a duplicate account and seized my winnings and closed my account.

Now they had no problems accepting my $1000 bet and had I lost they would have gladly taken the $1000, but now that I won they have found a way not to pay me my winnings.

There are also several similar experiences all over the internet about Bovada not paying out once your winnings get in the thousands.

Anyone who lives outside of the USA and can use Betfair for their sports betting and does not are complete fools. I wish I lived in Canada so I can use them for all my action.
