Bookmaker Check Option

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with bookmaker check option for payouts... I heard that the checks aren't foreign checks like 5 dimes are.. is that true? Also if that is true are you able to cash the checks in via the atm since they are American checks? Thanks

Keep in mind most checks of a significant amount will be placed on hold. This is a standard banking practice. If another option is available, I would suggest it.

Bookmaker checks are Canadian checks in U.S. dollars. Have to go to the teller - ATMs won't take them. But they clear in less than 24 hours

Requested a check on Thursday, got it on Tuesday.  Delivered Fedex, had to be signed for.  Tried to open an acct at US Bank and deposit the check.  They said that they believed it was a "fake check" and could not deposit it or cash it for me. Before that, they started asking where I got it, what it was for etc.  They had to talk to an "auditor" within their system and she was the one who wouldnt accept it.   I did take it to Chase (my regular bank) and they accepted it through a live person and didnt ask me any silly questions.  We will see how long it takes to clear/cash.
