So by wallet do you mean Blockchain or Coinbase/Circle? Going to Blockchain should be instant to transfer. Once sent to coinbase as an example, your BTC Wallet will be 0 as the BTC you received will be in a pending status until the transaction is confirmed. I received 12 bitcoin the other day and it stayed pending confirmation for almost 2 hours. It would be helpful to pull up some articles on Bitcoin to see exactly how this process works.
