Recently I have changed up my diet and cut out all the junk food (cookies, chips, energy drinks, milk in my coffee, fried food, fast food, beer, etc.) and have been dropping weight at a good rate. I eat more vegetables and fruit then before, my theory is to eat the same amount I used to except make better choices. So far the only bad thing I've had recently is a few slices of pizza. I don't excercise much aside from a brisk walk/jog every few days.

Currently I'm 5'7", 182 pounds on a good day.

I tried to calorie count but it's kind of difficult when I attend class in the morning and work until 4 a.m. My sleep pattern/eating habits are chaotic.

Ulitmately my question is if it possible to get down to say 160 just by watching my calories and eating right? All my weight is in my stomach and I would like to lose as much as possible before needing to work out to get over the hurdle.

try this thing. https://www.sensationaldiets.com/TheFlexBelt.html

user reviews here:  https://www.dietblogtalk.com/TheFlexBelt.html#TOPUCOMMENT

I just started an appointment setting job where I will be workin from home, and Im totally gonna get this thing and work my abs while Im dialing and on the phone.    Make money and work out.

If you struggle with weight gain.  I'd try Nuphedrine or Slim 10.  Both got great reviews on that sensationaldiets.com website.  That site reviews weight loss pills and products.

The products near the top of that list got the best reviews.  The belt got great reviews, and so did Nuphedrin and Slim 10.  Both products contain an appetite suppressant calld "hoodia".  This stuff (when 100 % REAL and not imitation) actually works.  No side effects.  Don't believe me though, cuz I haven't tried them.  I just read the 100's and 100's of user reviews.

https://www.dietblogtalk.com/index.php

Colon Cleans RX also got great reviews.  It is a colon/digestive cleanse that actually works (according to the reviews, both website and user).  Im gonna try this because one cuz I feel years and years of fast food and crap/buildup has accumulated in my body.

Now the cons are that NONE of this stuff is cheap.  The good news is that all this stuff got GLOWING reviews and all have LEGIT refund policies.  All of them are between 60 and 90 days, no questions asked refunds.  And the reason they can do this is because their products work.

FYI:  I haven't tried any of these.  I am going to try the belt and the colon cleanse.  Belt is $200, but Im gonna split 2 with somebody and get a it for $175.  Colon clease is like $80.

I have trouble keeping weight ON.  Thats why I ordered some whey protein isolate poweders and monohydrate creatine as well.  (from a different website, I can give links if someone asks, its a badass deal)

But if you have trouble keeping weight OFF, then I'd would try the Nuphedrine (appetite suppressant and calorie burner), or Slim 10 (has 10 active ingrediants to combat weight gain, also has the appetite suppresant).  The Slim 10 is the newer of the two, so it only has ~250 user reviews where as the Nuphedrine has like ~700 user reviews.

Check it out,  hope this helps.  GL

Oh yeah, and if you think this site is biased, check out the reviews (both user and website) for the other colon cleanses, and weight loss products.  They suck.  And the authors make no apologies for them.  They give credit where its due.  Thats the beauty of the internet.  We can all be an educated buyer.

From a weight point-of-view, calories are all the same. If you're losing weight by eating "clean" you are eating less. It may not seem like less because clean food is less calorie dense and has less of an impact on blood sugar levels.

Technically you can attain your goal by simply diet although I don't recommend it for 2 reasons.

1. It'll be difficult because your metabolism is slow and will get even slower once you start to lose more weight.

2. You'll lose muscle. While on a calorie deficit, your body will eat muscle and fat for energy. The 2 things you can do to minimize muscle loss are eat plenty of protein and use your muscles. Lifting weight also helps to keep your metabolism up so it's really a win/win.

If you have trouble keeping weight off, this stuff won't help unless you take it for life... your lifestyle needs a change. Nonetheless, if you need a good appetite suppressant look no further than ephedrine/caffeine as it's quite effective and cheap.

this colon cleanse stuff i heard was great but how does it get you to LOOK THINNER...its not subcutaneous fat or anything is it?

wouldnt it just take "spackle off the walls of the colon" as they say? Just curious as to how this makes you look thinner as opposed to actually just taking a few lbs off the scales?

Colon cleanse are NOT weight loss products.  They don't claim to be either.  Although one benefit is the removal of buildup waste in your intestines that can be between 5 and 20 pounds.

The benefits are this:

reduced risk of cancer (intestines, colon)
increased energy (because not "weighed down")
better digestion of food and nutrition (get more from your food)

although you do eliminate buildup waste, that can be 5 to 20 lbs, colon cleanse is not specifically a weight loss product.  You should try Nuphedrine or Slim 10 for that.

I recommend the cleanse (colon cleanse RX, specifically) because it eliminates that bullshit that has accumulated in all of us because of our fast food diets and commercial farming (growth hormones, pesticides, toxins).

I think its a good thing to use (1 cycle) if your starting some kind of health/purification program.

Unless you are really obese, it's tough to lose more than 2 lbs of fat per week, and the last "10" or so take closer to 3 months. As long as you're eating a healthy diet, you should be getting plenty of fiber and don't have a lot of shit (literally) being clogged up. My guess is any fast weight loss is probably due to a diuretic (water weight).

Hey longshotsws, I know you have mentioned and posted this a billion times but are we supposed to eat one gram of protein per day for body weight or muscle weight?

I weigh 183 so does that mean 183 grams per day?

It's not really an exact science, but typically the "minimum" for protein is 1 gram per lb of lean body mass. So for example if you're 183 and 15% fat, the minimum would be 183 * (100-15) = 156 grams.

I've gone as high as about 300 grams while "bulking" and the protein farts are epic.

Thanks Longshot

By the way, have you tried this nutrimirror.com website yet?  I've been on it for an hour.

It is cooler than cool.  Easy to use and calculates everything and keeps it cumulative.  It has the nutritional database of most food already in it.  Just click what you eat.

I don't have much muscle

But yeah I say what you mean. Sometimes I "feel" like I'm eating a lot but I went from a couple of chocolate chip cookies and a few beers to having leaf spinach, apple, and a bowl of oatmeal the calories are cut considerably and I still can get that desired full feeling.

Not many shortcuts but there are lots of detours.

Eating "clean" is huge.  All that weight loss crap, like Longshot said is primarily water.

Bicycles, weights, and chicken

You should consider putting some on. I would consider going 2-3 months of "cutting" where you're targeting about 1-2 lbs a week of fat loss and then another 2-3 months of "bulking" where you're trying to gain 1/2 lb per week. Added muscle means you can eat more not to mention look better

I haven't checked out that site, I'll give it a look. I keep track of protein, carbs and fat in my excel sheet. Other stuff like sodium and cholesterol I don't keep track of.

Dietary cholesterol is overrated anyways.

Most of the cholesterol in your body comes from you (your organs). If someone is eating "clean", they take in little saturated fat and no trans-fat, which limits cholesterol production. Exercise increases high-density lipoproteins which bring the cholesterol back to the liver for removal.

Cholesterol is needed by the body - most important for sex hormones (namely testosterone), which explains why cholesterol levels shoot through the roof when on steroids.

You should consider putting some on. I would consider going 2-3 months of "cutting" where you're targeting about 1-2 lbs a week of fat loss and then another 2-3 months of "bulking" where you're trying to gain 1/2 lb per week. Added muscle means you can eat more not to mention look better
