I picked up a 12 pack of Schlitz last night. I was presently surprised. They went back to the old 1960's recipe, the same recipe that made it a top seller back in the day. Good flavor and no after effects the next morning. For $10 a twelve pack, it's a tremendous value for all beer lovers.

10 bucks a 12 pack is NOT VALUE HOWEVER...get a clue in life oldtimer
value is 14.99 a 30 pack of miller high life
We used to drink the High Lifes in High School. Clear bottle and twist off caps. We usually went for the Budweiser cans though. We'd lift weights, then go split a 12 pack between 3 of us.
Try that old recipe Schlitz, though. Outstanding!!!

I suggest you have a blind taste test with some microbrews and premium beers. Invite some of your beer drinking buddies over to help "test". The Schlitz will be ranked towards the top.
Don't sell this "Old Recipe Schlitz" short.

Star, I'm gonna give it a try no matter the price. It's a flagship brand of brewing that's weathered rough times. I salute your dusting it off and propping it up in the trophy case. Nice work. I'm pretty sure there used to be a Schlitz brewery in Chicago. Chicagoans - if I am wrong, let me know. There is a giant old vacated brewery that's visible from I-94 (Dan Ryan..i think).

That's the spirit, toft33. My Uncle Ike would be drinking Schlitz beer and smoking Chesterfields when we'd go to visit on Sundays growing up in the 60's and early '70's. My Dad usually drank Bud or Meister Brau at home, but he'd down Schlitz beer for beer with his brother. My uncle was a WW2 pilot who went to college on the GI bill after the war and became a lawyer.
Let us drink in honor of our forefathers.
