Seeing Mikael is from Denmark, it probably is a rue type of sauce.
The Skandinavians love their flour and butter bases. Curry powder mixed in. Some sort of liquid added to the rue and then the parsley into the sauce.
Berlin, Germany is famous for their currywurst. It's basically a hot dog with ketchup and sprinkled with curry powder. Pomme Frites on the side. (French fries)
