Josh Hamilton is out 6-8 weeks

Who would you guys pick up to replace him?

Ben Francisco or Jonny Gomes?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Jonny Gomes is lights out in Great American and The reds are getting ready to go home and play Pitts. Pick him up. He is a different player this year. Pick him up!

check this out

2010 Bautista 14.6BB% 20.4% K ISO .357 BABIP .233

2011 Gomes 29.2BB% 24.2%K ISO .333 BABIP .261

still early, but gomes is looking very good.

bautista 2010 salary 2.4mil

gomes 2011 salary 1.75mil

baustita 2011 salary 8mil (5year 60mil) cito and dan murphy got their rolexs.

gomes 2012 salary ??? dusty is looking for his rolex =)

gomes should command a hefty tag if he can knock 29HR and 90RBI. i am not saying hes this year bautista, but he def. has power and batspeed and the talent.

$$$$ is motivation for a lot of players. my take is gomes is looking for that contract just like bautista was in 2010.

good luck.
