.315, 25 homeruns, 78 rbi's. 68 runs, 7 sb's through 86 games in a pitcher friendly league in AA. He leads all of AA in Hr's and Rbi's, 3rd in OBP, 2nd in slugging. Not sure how much longer the Dbacks can go with Miranda/Nady

Ya, I've been checking Yahoo for the last week with no luck. I picked him up in my onroto league which was formerly known as tqstats.

Can it translate? To be fair, you could say that about any minor leaguer. Nobody knows, but with the numbers he's putting up I'll certainly take my chances. 2 more hr's and 4 more rbi's since I made this thread.
It may not be AAA but he's making AA look like batting practice. It's still a pitcher friendly league. Goldy has 27 homeruns, next best in that league has 18. Goldy now leads the Southern League in Runs, Homeruns, Rbi's, Walks, Total bases, OBP, Slugging %, and OPS. I think Goldy would absolutely rake if he was given a chance at the hitter friendly PCL in AAA. Either way, he clearly doesn't belong in AA and probably doesn't belong in AAA either.

Definitely a kick in the nuts. The good thing is Allen has been given chances before and hasn't capitalized. He may just be a product of the PCL. He also can play the OF and the Dbacks didn't even start him yesterday. Maybe their plans are for him to be 1B/OF off the bench.
GM Kevin Towers has been quoted a few different times about how Goldy may be able to help the club and a call up is certainly possible. He also said manager Kirk Gibson is in his ear all the time about wanting Goldy with the team.
If their plans are for Allen to be their primary 1B then I think he has a very short leash.

A source tells Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic that the Diamondbacks are calling up prospect first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.
That was the natural assumption after Brandon Allen was traded to
the Athletics, but now it's all but official. Goldschmidt, 23, is
batting .306/.435/.626 with 30 homers and 94 RBI over 457 plate
appearances with Double-A Mobile this season. The D-Backs will likely
give him a chance to be their regular first baseman, but he's well worth
adding in NL-only formats.

He did. Solid opposite field single his 1st AB. In his 2nd AB he crushed one to dead center. Too much top spin on it and nose dived on the track. Could have been gone in some other ballparks. I thought it was gone off the bat. 3rd AB makes you realize this kid could be special. 3 AB's in a and the manager is giving him the 3-0 greenlight. Not only that but Matt Cain is throwing him 2-0 breaking balls with runners on 1st and 2nd and nobody out. That's some respect from one of the game's top pitchers right there.

Average up to .298 with 4 bombs and 10 rbi in just 47 at bats. Small sample size but his 162 game average right now is 43 homeruns and 108 rbi's. He's homered off Tim Lincecum and Cliff Lee while just missing one vs Matt Cain. He homered off Melancon to tie the game with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to turn a loss into an eventual win. And yet he's losing playing time to Lyle fucking Overbay of all people. I will never understand MLB managers.
