Fantasy League Discussion Part #8

Im doing mine right now. I dont see how Wainwright is not the best pick. The only problem is how bad Bud Norris OWNS the Cards

Joe and Kyle... I am giving this a go too.  I am doing it for free just as practice before I put real money on the line but this looks like a nice game to play.  If I do put real money down I will ask that one of you request me to joint so I can give you your bonus.  BOL and there is the team I selected:

Wainwright; Wieters; Gonzo; Phillips; Stewart; Jeter; Hamilton; Rasmus; and J. Upton.  I didn't have time to check to make sure all these guys are playing nor did I get a chance to check split stats.  This was strictly a selection based on the value of the price.  I had $200 left over.

This is so much fun and unlike gambling...it takes skill, and of course some luck. Pitching is KEY. Get the pitcher you're most confident with 1st and work from there and never go for Ubaldo because he'll be about $9,900 every time and there will be at least 2 people who can match his performance for cheaper.

I was offered Vladdy earlier this season.

its not over yet sparky, its halfway point and anything can happen even injuries......   

yes he has a great line-up but now my offense isnt to shabby itself.. and what about the 5 pitching stats..  

pujols, wright, vmart (he'll be back soon), ordonez, Vlad, Rasmus, Dunn, and Cruz  and i might add andrus and Gonzo... so Cruz will be out of that mix.. 

he could clobber u in offensive stats but what if u beat him in pitching ?? then its 5-5 so dont go crowing a winner just because your in the basement...

sparky's snatching all the pitchers up so we cant get any  

i went to get wells earlier and u took him now i just looked at Travis Wood to possible add him and you took him also..    at least you'll have 1st place in the # of SP's on a roster.

sparky:  i just accepted Andrus for Cruz.. i need an upgrade at SS and i need the R's and SB's also..  i basically swapped RBI's and HR for SB's and R's cause they both hit for AVG decent..

philly -- nice working with you. I'm stacking on pitching and dropping my hitting/keeping my important guys. Also trying to find a trade where I can give up 2 to get 1 bat. I need to make room for Ludwick/Hewyard. And I was looking at Wells for a while and I think he's given up 4 runs in his last 5 starts with 2 shutouts so I had to jump at him. As for Travis Wood...perfect so far.

I just hope Cruz hits better as he hasn't been as good since he came off the DL.
