Since I'm new to this...I've just found my pet peeve.
I HATE doing 2 different teams...going 1-1...and my winning team having more points than the losing team's opponent.
I won 54-43 and lost 25-43 (unless Alex Rios hits 3 homers)
I faced the same guy and he had pretty much the same lineups and had Wainwright going in both. I matched him with Wainwright in my winning match but lost with Hughes in my $50 match.

I have no idea how the payouts and taxes work. I doubt it. If so take $600 out a time if you are fortunate enough to get there.

Ya i never do more than 1 team that is not the same. I pick one team that i think is the best and i enter it in the $50, $25 and maybe a group league depending on who i have. That would piss me off to if i picked different players. Pick your best and stick with it. It may not be enough to beat one guy but it will to be another. Last night in my $50 i won 41-17. In the $25 i won 41-38. In the $10 in won 41-37.

Good thing I didn't do that because my "best" team would have lost. My backup team won. Which is like gambling. My "stronger" play loses while my "weaker" play wins.
But I would have lost both today because my opponent had a very similar team in both challenges and finished with identical scores.

I hate fans like him. Im a Red Sox "fan". They are the team i root for. But at the end of the day if they are on a 10 game losing steak or they dont make the playoffs or they lose in the world series i truly do not care. I dont lose any sleep. I dont think about it the second i change the channel. Its a team. If that makes me not a "fan" then so be it. I will say when the suck. I just dont get the people who are so stupid and unreasonable. If someone sucks fucking say they suck. You are not married to Brian Matusz. He does not give a shit about you so why defend him like its your mom and dad.

That's where we differ. I live and breathe with the Yankees and if they don't make the playoffs...it hurts. Probably moreso because I post in the baseball forum an awful lot and I'd get ragged on forever along with the fact that I'd never hear the end of it from my Mets' Fan friends. Especially if they made it and the Yankees didn't.
And it's basically the competitve attitude between me and jpero. He knows I talk so much shit about the Orioles and he HATES it. If the Orioles were to be contenders and he prooves me wrong...he'd be on heaven. And vice virsa if they don't because bragging rights are really fun when it comes to me on the site.
But I do agree. If the Yankees don't make the playoffs...it's not the end of the world. There are things much worse/important. But...I do care about my favorite team(s) an AWFUL lot.

I used to care before i started gambling and playing fantasy sports.. Cared alot. Would be PISSED if the Raiders lost. PISSED if the RedSox lost and so on with my other teams. Now i find myself betting against the Sox and rooting against my players and teams due to fantasy. The team that i care about most when it loses would be G'Town if i had to pick.

O ya i agree. I will join a group but never head to head. It would suck taking eachothers money unless we both have like $500. Then we could talk shit back and forth. Heres what i have.

Yea...Santana has been a home run animal from the start but slowed down recently. I'll look mine through when the Rangers are done and I have $25 left because my matchup is based on Hamilton v Hamilton which I have already won.
Patterson, AJax and Francouer though? Interesting.
What I do is I check mlb.com's "beat the streak" and get the best averages against opposing pitchers and whatnot. It showed that Figgins hit over .300 against Bonderman so I chose him (for cheap) and he got me 3/4 with 2 runs scored. McCann had good numbers and hit a homer. And Wright and Bay had 5 and 6 points against Stammen. Looks like a nice plan.
