24 is now over for good on TV

I'm always a sore loser when money is on the line.

I can't catch a break. Pedroia was 0-19 coming into today. He went 3-5 today. Guess who the starting 2nd baseman is for my opponent this week.

 

And Week 2 is entirely different. We're at week 8 and my team, even when hitting on all cylinders, isn't better than many out there. Whose fault is that? Mine of course.

sparky:  i know its frustrating but its a game buddy.. i do what i can to win but i dont get all bent outta shape over guys not performing well..     oh and remember i didnt start Marcum in the Beginning of the week vs the twins and he pitched very well so dont be mad i started him sunday, i wanted K's and it worked out well, i didnt think pujols would steal 2 bases..

ManRam:  i just dont see us coming to an agreement cause i would want either Cabrera or Gonzalez/Doc  or possibly Gonzalez/Byrd and u think thats to much ..   if i wanted Cabrera you wouldnt take just pujols right?? so u have to see where im coming from..    BoL

You like Kelly Johnson or Brian Roberts?  I see you have Hudson there so im guessing maybe you would like to upgrade. I have 2 2B now with Roberts coming off the DL

Not interested in Johnson. But I have no clue how BRob will will perform when he comes back. It would be a huge risk. Last time I took that risk I got Rollins and he went on the DL 2 days later.

I personally think it's a good trade. But I'm the last person to judge.

Actually...I lie...URISS makes out very nicely.

Werth is hot...but Howard should finish the season with better numbers.

Longoria is the best player in this trade.

Vladdy is hotter than anyone right now...but odds he stays this hot throughout a 162 game season? And not just hot...but healthy?

Jeter is better than Reyes even though Reyes will get more steals.

Ike Davis is great but when will he go through his rookie slump? Or will he?

Anybody on the Astros' isn't worth anything imo.

Cueto is good and Strasburg is just talk right now.

But I think URISS stole from iSteal.

Ike Davis is great? WTF are you smoking? A .275 average and 12 RBI and 36 games. No one from the Stros is worth owning? Pence in the last month 16 runs, 7 homers, 18 RBIs, 3 SB and a 317 avg. Good enough for the 17th best hitter in baseball over the last month fantasy wise. This is more than just stealing. Cable must have downed about two 30 racks before noon to pull this trade off and think its good for him. I offerd him Halladay and Byrd for Longoria and he dident like it. I understand why. Then he counters with Halladay and Adrian Gonzalez for Longoria. The only thing that makes it funny is that he goes and did this

Are you kidding?  The trade was agreed upon by 2 managers, you haven't used a veto system the whole time and now you want to use one?  Not fair whatsoever... Strasburg will be the BEST pitcher in baseball from  his first pitch next week for the next 10 years!  Don't give me he never pitched a game in MLB bullshit...  The trade is fair

You talk about Pence having a good month in this forum and knock it down... and than in the Yahoo forum Cueto is having a good month and knock him down... Gurrerro is DH'ing he wont get hurt and Werth is a stud and so is Reyes...


Who cares when the players were drafted it doesn't mean a damn thing

Not GREAT as in WOOPIE!!!...he maxes out Howard. But he's faired well and is being used a lot and is a serviceable 1B.

 

But I have to agree with URISS. You hated my trade with 2169 and powerade's trade and even though you hated them...you still accepted them.

Werth and Guerrero are having incredible seasons. Obviously iSTEAL thinks they will continue having great seasons. And he upgraded in pitching for sure having dropped Correia and Hinske to pick up Cueto and Strasburg.

If you had come up with this option for me...I actually would have agreed and tried to get it veto'ed. I just think you have to let them go on with it. It's all about a team's needs and I guess they think it was good for both. It's not like it was a Hinske for Werth trade.

You are absolutly correct in all of your points. I have not used the veto system to this point because i have not had a reason to. In one of the previous threads i stated that i have been being to easy with everyone on these trades in which there is some question and that i was not going to do that anymore. If you need to me go through all of the thousands of post and find it i will. By me being the commish i have to make sure that this league is run as fair as can be and by doing that if i see something that is questionable to me i have to bring it up. Like i said before it is just my opinion. No one else has to think like me. Once again its my opinion. For your remarks that i made about Pence and Cueto. Cueto has been bad his whole career and right now has put together a GREAT MONTH. I drafted him hoping he would be this good. However through the first month and a half he was AWFUL and i dropped him. I regret it right now alot. Pence has always been good. He just got off to a terrible start and the past month he has been a monster. Thats all im trying to say. I can see how mad this is making you and i know why. I have had it happen to me before in leagues. I would destroy a guy in a trade and it would be rejected only to have me yelling and screaming and everyone because i couldent complete the trade where i was getting all the best players.

You guys have to understand where i am coming from. I have to take this stand because if i just put it through I PROMISE YOU i will have messages in my inbox wondering how i can just put such a HUGE trade through with no questions asked. IT HAS ALREADU HAPPEND. By running these things i am put in to a lose lose situation all the time with trades. If i accept with no problems other teams are mad at me for not questioning. If i bring up a question in a trade like i am with this a team is going to come at me swearing telling me how my league is bullshit and whatever else they want to yell and scream

I said i did not understand your trade with 2169. I never said it was not fair. Morneu and Either is fair. Utley and Cruz is fair. Hughes and Davis is fair. There is a difference between not understanding and being unfair
