Kobe Bryant said in a recent interview, "I have very little cartilage under my right knee cap, it’s almost bone-on-bone."
Kobe has been sitting out practices this season to avoid aggravating his sore knee, the same knee that has undergone three operations and was drained throughout last year's playoffs. Bryant, who has four years left on his contract, has attempted to "minimize the wear and tear" by avoiding practices, though L.A.'s intensity has suffered as a result. It sounds like Black Mamba has this under control, but his chronic knee woes are worth watching closely.
