Subscribe to threads?

I'm new here. I do not see an option to control how (or whether) I will be notified when there is a new post to a thread that I started or a way to "watch" a thread. Is there a way? If so, where is it?

That's too bad. It makes the forums a lot less convenient -- at least for those who are not on here every day.

Most of the forum software applications, such as vBulletin, have this built in.
