phone app over-run with adds

don't know IF it is Covers BUT used the phone app today and I got one pop-up add after another including something that looked like a phony "you got a virus.click here to remove" scam. ANY way to correct that ??? I rarely use the phone app so this post is pretty much advisory

The Covers app is no longer compatible since the last updates to the site. We recommend using the mobile site to view Covers on your mobile device going forward.
