Is it possible to receive notifications when a specific poster posts?

It looks like there aren't thread subscriptions.  I have 0 friends so I'm not sure if there's e-mail notifications under those settings?  I've been researching trying to setup a rss feed or something.  Across any forum boards on the www I would like to be able to receive push notifications on my phone whenever a specified poster posts.  Basically how tweet notifications work.  If anyone is aware of this seemingly easy tool, but very hard for me to locate, I would be super thankful.

Unfortunately we do not have this tool at this time. This is something we may look to implement in the future.
