trying to find a way to "friend" a new member. USED to be EASY. NOW can find NO way to DO it. yet ANOTHER Cover-Tech "improvement"

Hello,
When in the forums, instead of going to the users profile page, simply attempt to send the user you wish to add a "PM". Once you select the option to send them a "PM", you will be redirected in adding the user as a friend only if you are not already friends.
